Ok, I'm not much of a football fan. I mean, come on, the Detroit Lions aren't much to get excited about. Unless you're the opposition, and you know your team is playing against them...then it's a 99.9% guarantee your team is going to win. (hey, have to give them that .01% chance they MIGHT win a game this year.)
So...how do you think your team will do this year? I predict the Lions to keep up their "winning' ways. (purely tongue in cheek there).

The Packers had taken the field when they noticed a Viking fan standing in front of the tunnel taunting them and hollering a bevy of lurid put downs. After listening to as much as they could take, the entire Packers defensive backfield chased the Viking fan into the tunnel. Five minutes later they came crawling out all bloodied and beaten, followed by the Viking fan who was still hollering. After a few more minutes of this the Packers entire offensive line chased the Vikings fan into the tunnel. After another five minutes had passed they came crawling out looking even worse than the last bunch. They were also followed by the Viking fan who was, by this time, getting even louder. Finally, after listening to the Viking fan as long as he could, Ray Rhodes set his remaining 36 players into the tunnel after the Viking fan. About ten minutes passed and finally, one bloodied Packer came crawling out and hollered to the coach, "It's a trap. There's two of them."

The Vikings signed Brett Favre for 14 million bucks, talk about cash for clunkers.
The Lions' coach expressed to the team that he expected them to do better this year as they have the easiest schedule. A player piped up, "We don't have the easiest schedule, coach, Green Bay does. They play Detroit twice."
I am a 49er fan which is much like my sex life - a lot of wonderful distant memories. But they are getting better and play in a weak division so 8 and 8 looks to be a reasonable projection. But I worry about our pass defense as I have watched all three preseason games so far. Our defensive backs and safeties couldn't cover a dick if they were a condom.

I think the Tennessee Tits will go all the way this year. Umm they just beat Green Bay last night. Of course the Cleveland Browns kicked out ass last week and the Cowboys before that but they were just practicing. They just wanted to see how it felt to lose. Seriously I think they DO have a good shot this year. Carry Collins is looking as good as ever and even Vince Young has sucked it up and decided he wasn't all that and a ham sandwich and looked pretty good in last nights game.

FOOTBALL I believe you should at least root for your home team, even if you have another team that is your favorite. I live about half way between the Colts and the Bears. I don't believe either are going to do so hot this year. The Colts will do better than the Bears though.

The teams I cheered for as a kid were the Vikings and the Raiders. Now I still love watching football but I'm just more of a fan of the game than I am any particular team.

My Bengals won our last pre-season game last night over Indy 38-7. But both teams pretty much played their reserves. Love to start the season with a win like that over Denver. But I think My Bengals will be lucky to go 9-7 with us just missing the playoffs. GO BENGALS!

I've been a Vikings fan since I was 5 years old. All Favre has to do is add 50 yards per game to the passing stats and it will be more explosive than last year. The defense will remain a top 5.
Bengals 9-7? 6-10 is more likely. The Detroit Lions will win at least 4 games and maybe as much as 7. In their division the 49ers may make the playoffs. The Falcons had a fluke year and will finish with 9 wins and tie with the 49ers for the division lead. The 49ers will get it with a tie breaker.
Now for the Titans...They will finsih 10-6 and win the division with a tie breaker over the Steelers. Vince Young will finish the season and win one playoff game before losing to the Pats.
The Packers will most likely finish 9-7 and might make the playoffs depending on how good the Bears turn out. The Bears are confusing and could finish anywhere from 6-10 to 9-7 depending on their start.
The Colts will be dominate again and compete for a super bowl bid with a 12-4 season.
The following teams will be the leaders vying for a superbowl berth: Vikings, Patriots, Colts, and Saints. The next group is the Steelers, NY Giants, Dolphins, and Eagles.

Now for the Titans...They will finsih 10-6 and win the division with a tie breaker over the Steelers. Vince Young will finish the season Well, I think you misposted purple. The Tits (LMAO, as Max calls them) are not in the same division as the Steelers. Perhaps you mean the Colts? Don't be surprised to see the Houston Texans rise up this year. Unless Collins is injured don't expect to see Vince Young finish the season. It is much more likely that once the season is over, the "Tits" will be finished with him.
The Bengals, geez Straddle, we heard these grandiose projections last year from you and I'm still laughing. If Palmer is healthy that will help but they have made no measurable upgrades to a sub par defense or running game. They have four games against the Steelers and Ravens combined plus San Diego. On the upside, they play the Browns twice and the Lions once. Dude, you get 7-9.
I appreciate your confidence in my guys purple. We do have three excellent running backs. You may be right about the playoffs. It is an anemic division and somebody has to win it.

Not too happy with some of the Redskins behavior this year. But there is always the Carolina Panthers. They are usually have a pretty good team.

Sorry, don't watch professional sports. I had before, but with the free agency stuff that started many years ago, it's just not worth it to me, especially when rookies are making more money than many teams top players.

We're currently setting at the top of our AFC north division at 9-3. Our defense is the best in the NFL this season having only given up 187 points. Our running is very very strong where we get over 100 rushing yards a game. Our passing game needs a lot of improvement right now for us to make further in the playoffs and to the Super Bowl.

No need for mustard, I will use a recipe for quail (about the same size). I did say seven and nine though which was an expectation of improvement.

Well hindsight is 20/20 but Favre sitting atop their division at 10-2 makes that 14 million look like chump change compared to all the guys sitting on the bench around the league, and getting 7-9 million while not even having started a game. Derek Anderson was given a three-year, $24 million contract last offseason that included $13 million in guaranteed money. Quinn has become the QB of choice.

drcocktail87 is right. Make that two crows prepared as quail. Fortunately they are small so I can consume both in one setting.
