So after landing my new job as a Wal-Mart greeter,
a good find for many retirees,
I lasted less than a day......
About two hours into my first day on the job a very loud,
unattractive, mean-acting woman walked into the store with her two kids, yelling obscenities at them all the way through the entrance.
As I had been instructed, I said pleasantly, 'Good morning and welcome to Wal-Mart. Nice children you have there. Are they twins?'
The ugly woman stopped yelling long enough to say,
'Hell no, they ain't twins. The oldest one's 9, and the other one's 7. Why the hell would you think they're twins? Are you blind, or just stupid?'
So I replied, 'I'm neither blind nor stupid, Ma'am,
I just couldn't believe you got laid twice. Have a good day and thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart.'
My supervisor said I probably wasn't cut out for this line of work.
Maybe I should try out for that job?

We had a girl that worked in the women's department who was fired for what she told a customer. This woman was screaming at the girl that she was buying that dress and she did not care that the coupon was not good until Saturday she wanted to use it now. to which the employee replied in a sweet voice, " Well people in hell want icewater but that doesn't mean they are going to get it." She said it was worth getting fired to tell that woman that. Screaming kids and rude adults are the norm in stores.

OK, I will tell one.... 
I worked 2 years in Chicago as a manager at a very well known video chain.
A woman came in one day. She had gotten a gift card and wanted to rent videos. However I had to inform her she needed a membership to be able to rent any, but that she could use it to purchase items or videos for sale if she wished.
She went off on a 15 minute rant about how stupid that was to require a membership just to rent videos, how dumb the company was and rude to inconvenience customers to fill out the HALF PAGE info form, on and on and on....it was a long day, I had to work alone on a saturday, everyone called off...it happened to be we were alone in the store for the moment, so I said...
"I agree ma'am, we SHOULD rent out all the videos to anyone who wants without so much as a drivers license or address or phone number, so that they can keep them and never come back at all since we can't track them down at all. The local crackheads would love that for their pawning pleasure. Are you really THAT fucking stupid?"
She turned red, and left.....

I have had so many times while working at the hotel where I would have LOVED to have told some people off. I had one woman bitching about how she wasn't "impressed with the layout of the place"...and yeah, I did say it, I told her, "I only clean rooms here, I didn't design the place". That got me a dirty look.

Working with the public sucks at times. If I could say what I am thinking to a lot of my customer's I would of been fired many times over..
I remember I had one woman come in and eat. She ordered a omlet, biscuits, sausage gravy, and a dish of fruit..She said she was on a diet. That is my kind of diet..  Then she ordered a meal to go for lunch and a whole pie. I wanted to say "do you really need all that food"...No I am not nice at times..

Many years ago I had an extremely rude customer come through the drive-thru at Wendys. She used to come through every morning and always had a complaint about something.
One morning I had had it and told her that McDonald's opened a half an hour after we did and if she wanted to try them the next morning I would gladly pay for her breakfast there.
Two days later my district manager came in and wanted to have a conversation with me....
He and I knew each other pretty well and after I told him who she was, he completely understood. He said he had told her that he would have a conversation with me and so what did I want to converse about.....
