Businesses keep getting into economic trouble!
I remember taking a copy to the Army Reserve meetings in the late 60s and 70s to pass the weekend meetings! It was always interesting reading!

Wow......I didn't know that.
I myself have always read my Grandmas Reader's Digest's & always loved them. All the humor & little jokes. Great stuff, like good blogs in paper....lol Definetly a must have for bathroom/Dr.s office visits!

Just goes to show...even Readers Digest is getting clobbered by this recession

The magazines were good but perhaps should have had an online version that people could subscribe to for a small fee. And maybe have revamped them just a little to keep up with the times. To me it seemed to appeal more to an older audience instead of all ages. While I might find things in there interesting I seriously doubt there were a lot of young readers who would cite that as their first choice for reading.

Yep; Times are tuff. And it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Oh well, the doctor's office will never be the same. But that's life in these United States. It was the only magazine specifically mentioned in college that was unacceptable to cite in a formal paper.

They were good for the reading room at home on the shitter. They've had some interesting topics over the years. I kept a a couple of fully read ones in there for emergency toilet paper as well.

Yeah, I heard about this a few days back. I wasn't really into that digest however.
