The day is coming up quick. In less than two weeks my daughter starts high school. The years go by so quick. Seems like she just started grade school and now going to High School.

We went and got her some school clothes and a few supplies. They don't get their list for supplies until the 1st day of school. But we got some the basic's. I got a great deal on 70 count notebooks for .01 cents at Staples. Plus they had highlighters (5 pack) for $1.00.

She saw a cute outfit at one store but between both of us we didn't have enough to get it. We came home and I left to go back out. I borrowed enough money to get it for her. She still needs a few pairs of jeans but other than that she is ready. I am not ready. I am not ready to let go of that little girl she once was. As I was driving home I had tears in my eyes thinking where did the time go? She has been a good kid so far. I am hoping going to high school will not change that.

I know where she goes to school the kids are snooty. They have parents with money. My daughter knows I work hard to make money. When she shops she checks for sales.

Count your blessings. Junior high is usually the worst as it is a very self centered age range. This is also a good time to expand your relationship as friends as she is becoming a young woman.

When my kids were in school the clearance racks were my friend. There are a few stores who have in season clothes on clearance as they go on at 10 weeks. When my son had to wear shirts and ties to work every day he had designer shirts that I paid $4.97 on because they only had a couple left. My daughter shops the same way for her two girls.

aaaw my poor sweet innocent child... wait til she comes home and tells ya she's moving the new boyfriend in .
it doesn't get any easier either, when they leave school and its time to spread their wings, it won't be long before they'll be back home when they realsie the food doesn't materialize in the cupboard and there is such things as power bills, then they're like boomerangs, as fast as you throw 'em out... they just keep coming back
big hugs Aly, see wipe that grin off ya face, you know what i mean ,lol
