With all the talk about this beer summit today, I thought that I would post a blog asking everyone what's their best beer to drink, and what's the worst beer they ever tried. As for me, I hate the taste of any beer, so I'm not a beer drinker at all. I really don't do alcohol. About the only thing that's tollerable for me to drink that's alcohol would be smirnoffs.

My favorite................Root beer ............

Back in the day.............while Jimmy carter was the President...........his brother promoted a beer called "Billy Beer" first of all it was love by the lake beer (you know fucking near water) but it also had this horrible taste too it.............I believe it was down to 1.99 a case when they finally pulled that crap off the market..........but I sure wish i had a case of it now...........even now the 6 pack of it on Ebay of unopened cans is less than a hundred bucks...........even now as a collector no one wants the crap...............

For many years my friends and I conducted blind beer tastings. We covered domestics, imports, micros, lights, non-alcoholics, you name it, we tasted it.

My favorite? Yeungling Lager, Pottstown, PA, oldest beer in America.

Worst? Genesee Cream Ale, Rochester, NY, the only alcoholic drink to give me a headache even after only beer.

Lately, I prefer ales and wheat beers. Had a cream ale the other night at the local brew pub and it was excellent. Commercial beer? Lately it's been Blue Moon. But my tastes change. And one can hardly go wrong with a Sam Adams.

Yeungling Lager, Pottstown, PA.

I've been told I need to try it...

Although I'm not a drinker, and definately not a beer drinker I have recently found one that it tolerable.

There's a new brewery open in my town and so a couple friends and I went one night. They have a beer called blondie that I can choke down. It's pretty mild so I'm sure that's why I can drink it.

And that I can get it served in a shot size glass so I feel accomplished when I drink a whole glass.

That sounds like me. I hate the taste of beer. But A few weeks ago I took a small...very smalll... sip of Grizs' beer and it wasn't too awful... lol

So my fav, I have to agree with Dayna. Root beer, but I'll take diet.
The worst, all of them...

I meant to add that I love the smell of a good beer. And I prefer to drink most of mine German style...at room temp.

Killian's Red is my favorite, with Coors regular a close second.
Worst (or most disappointing)? Samuel Adams. The two or three
times I've had it, it always tasted stale...

I love t go to local brew pubs. On a regular basis I drink Coorslite. Cimay is a great tasting beer, and Wood Chuck is a cider and I think it is nasty. JMO. When I was married to the biggest beer lover in the world I was a taster of everything and anything. Had fun doing it, just really don't like to get drunk.

In some of my songs i have casually mentioned
The fact that i like to drink beer
This little song is more to the point
Roll out the barrel and lend me your ears

(Chorus:)
I like beer. it makes me a jolly good fellow
I like beer. it helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow (makes him feel mellow)
Whiskey's too rough, champagne costs too much, vodka puts my mouth in gear
This little refrain should help me explain as a matter of fact i like beer
(he likes beer)

My wife often frowns when we're out on the town
And i'm wearing a suit and a tie
She's sipping vermouth and she thinks i'm uncouth
When i yell as the waiter goes by

(Chorus)

Last night i dreamed that i passed from the scene
And i went to a place so sublime
Aw, the water was clear and tasted like beer
Then they turned it all into wine

I like beer. it makes me a jolly good fellow
I like beer. it helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow (makes him feel mellow)
Whiskey's too rough, champagne costs too much, and vodka puts my mouth in gear
Aw, this little refrain should help me explain as a matter of fact i love beer
(yes, he likes beer)

For me the best would be a dark German beer regardless of the brand. The worst for me is Busch as it will give me a headache. But for taste, the worst to me is Coors Light as tastes like something from a stagnate pond.

A guy I used to work with was part of a road crew for a band touring Europe. He could be quite obnoxious. When he was in Germany dining at a restaurant he ordered Budweiser and got pissed off when he was told they didn't serve it. So he asked the waiter for whatever they had that was closest to an American beer and the waiter brought him a glass of water.

Whenever I fill my Kegerator, it has to be Shiner Bock, made in Shiner, TX.

Amen to that but it doesn't have to be dark. When I lived in Germany I liked drinking Kirner Pils beer.

I like ale if i do drink beer...a favorite, bell's lager. Now regular beer like strohs, bud, all those different ones I just can't get past that bitter taste, for some reason ale isn't as bitter.

I like alot of different beers (what a shock ). But I really like Pale Ale's. My favorite is Summit Pale Ale but I can't get it here. I get it when I visit my relatives in Minnesota. Or I have them bring me some when they come down.

I'm not much of a beer drinker, never really liked the taste of it. If i'm in the right mood though the only one i've found that I can tolerate is Miller Lite and it has to be really really cold.

The worst i've ever had was Old Millwaukee, Ick!
