people who are obsessed with the computer posted 7/22/2009 3:11:57 AM | 0 kudos what's this?     report abuse   sweetemotion i was just wondering, do you think it is some sort of obsession when people have to get on the computer every day? I know some people who go in to withdrawals if they do not get on line every day. As a tendency they start to lose touch with reality and the ongoings of everyday life. And in case you're wondering why I am posting this so late it is because it the only chance I've had to get on the computer because my partner has been at it all day. 	i was just wondering, do you think it is some sort of obsession when people have to get on the computer every day? The key words are "have to!" If someone pays 100s of bucks for a computer, only for getting online to chat every day and that's all they do with it most of the day, then I would consider it an obsession I guess! I personally use it for many reasons besides chatting with my friends! I have a small business so, I use mine for that too! But I also do a lot of research for my business and for other things I'm interested in! Plus, I'm into image processing too! Make sense?

	My job requires me to use the computer every day of the week. Both full time and part time jobs, so I am on this thing 7 days a week...not 24 hrs a day mind you, but pretty close, although my full time job I work 10 hrs shift, however we are not allowed to go "online" only at breaks and lunch which limits the usage time, which I think is a good thing, cuz I think alot of us wouldn't get any work done if we didn't LOL but I like coming online, chatting/emailing friends, searching for recipes, etc... Hell what can't you find online anymore...just search and you shall find :)
