Here is one for the over a half a century old group.
On July 20, 1969, America landed a man the moon. (Unless you think it was all done in Hollywood
) My question is "Where were you on that day?" I was studying for a test
in grad school and I was also watching TV. It was late at night and the test was at 8:00 the next morning, at U of MO, 30 miles away. I was in my apartment on High Street in Jefferson City, MO. I kept thinking I should go to bed
but I wanted to see history being made.

Where was I? At home watching it all on tv. We had just bought our first color tv set that day to watch it on. I always watched anything that was on about the space program back then.

I can't really tell you...I was only 5 years old at the time. I remember seeing a moonwalk on TV once but I doubt it was that.

Since I was only 3 1/2 yrs old at the time, I was most likely playing in my room with my younger sister.

Thank You everyone for your comments. I also sent this out on my private e mail to friends that are at least 50. That would make them at least 10 years old. Most of the replys were that people stayed up to watch history being made. Remember we only had 2 - 4 TV channels at the time. I of my friend said she was only 13 and more interested in the boys in town then watching the moon.
The thing that surprises me is some people were in school in July and must have watched a tape of it because it was past midnight in the Mid West. Thanks again for all the comments. Maybe we should do one asking about Kennedy being killed or the world Trade Center being hit.

Sitting in a hotel room in Rock Springs Wyo. The family was on it's way to Idaho for summer vacation. My sister and I got a room to ourselves and stayed up and watched.
