No, this is not actually a Michael Jackson blog. However with all the attention on his will and the early thoughts of there possibly not being one, it got to me to thinking about how many people actually take the time to make sure their last wishes are known.
Or to take care of loved ones left behind.

I was rather surprised that his last will was done in 2002, and that his mother is still left as guardian for his children. And Diana Ross as second choice.
I'm not saying anything bad about either of them, but I would question their ages in being the best choices for raising young children. Especially three of them....

In case something were to happen to you and you were unable to speak for yourself, does anyone know your medical wishes? Are they authorized to make sure they are carried out? Can they be easily contacted?

Do you have a will and has it been kept up to date? Especially where guardianship of young children may be a concern. Does the right person/people know how to obtain your will and have it filed if you don't have an attorney?

Will your last wishes be carried out or left to speculation and possibly wrong choices?
Or does any of it matter to you?

Assuming I am dead when all of this is supposed 2 take place? Naw...I dont give a shit. Do whatever is the easiest and cheapest and get on with Ur lives. I wont even notice. I'll be busy in Hell taking that eternal tandem bike ride around the lake of fire that my wife booked us on.

I made my will out, after the death of my late husband. My estate is divided between my kids. If one of them passes on before me, their share goes to their children and not the spouse.

I have told them I intend to live forever, so not to bank on getting anything.

Have a greenie for a thought provoking question.

According to my sister will, I would have been guardian of her two sons, in the event that their father was also deceased....

I would ALWAYS encouraged them to be careful, I love my nephews, but didnt want to raise them, thankfully both boys are now adults!

You have to have something to leave anything to anyone.............don't you

Actually my son has my medical power of attorney, and knows what my desires are in the event of........plus i have a living will...........

My children know exactly what is to be theirs in the event that something should happen to me............and I believe that the only fight will be with who gets my cookie jar collection...........neither one wants it........

My children have always known what I want, I don't want to be hooked up to machines, and in the event that their is no brain activity I want them to say good by and let me go............I only want resuscitated if there is a possibility ( a very strong one) that I will have a quality of life, or I need to be let go............

They know that I want to be cremated and they know where to spread the ashes.........

My youngest son knows not to leave me on life support. And if I get to the point I can't take care of myself to put me in a nursing home and my kids need to get on with their lives. When I go just take the ashes back to Pine Ridge and spread them anywhere in the Black Hills. Told my son that was cheaper than his idea of spreading them in Ireland. He also knows not to have a funeral but a good old Irish Wake as I don't want people crying over me being gone. That always just seemed so morbid to me. I put this in writing a long time ago and he has a copy and there is a copy on my computer and in my lock box. Anything I have they can sell and sllit the money three ways.
Thing is the women in my family usually live to be over 100 so I doubt I am checking out anytime soon.

I have a living will. Even with the divorce & the fact that the couple we chose is also splitting up it hasn't changed they will go live with his sister. We did this because even though she is very stubborn & set in her ways i know she will continue to let both families see my kids & has there best interest at heart. all my stuff is packed, we still agree that if something happens to both of us, sell all our stuff & split it in 1/2 for the kids...

the room is right, you do have to plan for this i have seen what happens when you don't & it's not pretty.
