Remember when webcams came out & they were all the rage? 
Everyone had to have one & it was the coolest thing ever to have.
The most awesome thing to be able to chat with someone else and
see them, wow.....it's like a TV phone!! Something we probably all
thought about as a child. It was great!!! 
Well, the fun lasted and now it's boring. Or at least that's what I think. I don't own a cam and haven't for 6 years. I can't stand them, can't stand being on them & can't stand watching others on them. It's annoying. It's crackly & blurry and no one ever knows how to act on a cam either, lol  And you have to pay so much attention to that one person, clicking accept and chatting and yada, yada, yada......  Here I could be flipping back and forth between the few sites I enjoy, but I can't because I'm helping some idiot with a webam.... 
So, what's your opinion of the webcam now? 
Did you ever own one/still have one/never own one/want one?
Damn, I had a fantastic romp last nite, but I'm still fuckin' horny........

Still have mine and hooked up. Was going to try and use it with CL, but since she has dial-up, wouldn't work too well.have to use them at work sometimes for video conferencing. With software like skype, you can hook straight into voice, video.

I have one- second one of two! They're ok but, are still awkward to use! Resolution is still too low! I've had two cam sex sessions, with one person a few years ago and another one a couple years ago- neither one on AMD. Was kinda hot but like erotic emails, gets old fast! Looking at each other, is like viewing each others drivers license photos, only live! You look the worst you possibly can!

To heck w/ a web cam, you get so many wanna web cam emails that it becomes a turn off. I would like one of those things to where you can talk back & forth to someone through the computer but never had one. I'm sure that would get old to.

I have a cam............it was wonderful when I lived in Ohio and my granddaughter lived in Minnesota. I got to watch her grow and in time we would wave back and forth to each other. Now its packed away because I don't use it............but my grandson will be born soon, and his daddy and mommy live in Kansas............so once again i will get to see more of my grandbaby than I would have normally. It's not the same as holding them but it sure is better than just getting pictures once in a while.

I never had 1 until I bought my laptop and didn't even realize I had 1 built in to it. They're no big deal to me but it is nice to use once in awhile to be able to see the person you're typing to. As for the crackly, blurry problems, I think they got that all fixed now  cos the ones I've seen are crystal clear and I know the people that have seen me on mine say it's a perfect picture

I was chatting with someone in Mississippi several years ago....and I was Great!!!
Though, that cam sucked!! (if it wasn't for the Drama..we would still be together!!!  )
I bought a cam..a year ago..that has voice..and the picture is Clear!!! Even with Dial up!!! 
You can control..who see's you... btw...
If you don't wanna take the time to look decent..it maybe a Problem..or if you have something you wanna Hide...than..you might not Like it!!!

At the time I wanted one, my computer lacked the firepower to be real functional and I lost interest in the idea when I did get a faster one. I can see how it could be really cool to have one to view family and friends like Ewe_wish mentions.

I have a top of the line Logitech..It works great on dialup
but seldom use it anymore..
A bunch of us from all over the world used to have group chats
on a Yahoo Group almost every week..Cool to see online friends..
Now I turned it on last night on the motion detector mode..
Got some critter coming into my house and tipping over my recycle trash..
Didn't catch it yet though..
I take most of my profile pics with it..

isn't this high high high tech amazing.
it was all mostly invented during world
war two or shortly after that. all the basic
principles and stuff by bell and howell
and a guy and his staff named bill murphy.
they didn't think they should release
all that stuff then though for the general
population. they felt we would misuse
it, it would disrupt the entire social fabric
of society. well about 10 yrs. ago or so,
they gave permission to let all hang out.
might as well, what the hell.
if we're all going to hell, we might
as well enjoy ourselves on the way there.lololol. it removes a lotta mystery.

Despite having a pc as old as GWBs first term, my cam worked well. Its one of those fancy Logitech STX with built in mic and face detection. Liked it so much I bought two....
Actually it was a misunderstood shipping error and ended up buying another on mistake. Yeah.  Who wants an unopened webcam?
Oh and I hate webcams since in the beginning of being online, men come out like cockroaches upon seeing "View My Webcam" status. Was a good time until that's all they wanted, and not just to talk anymore. I only bought a new one because I was asked by a sweet friend; then after he lost interest- gone again. Its a love/hate thing.

Mine is built into my Toshiba lap top and it has great resolution. I just don't like the way I look on it. The sound is good too. Hope everyone had fun on the 4th. I worked, and the freaks were out. One block from where I work on Beale 4 people were shot. Fun night on the freak street.

Mostly it's in your lighting if you don't get good resolution..

My son is sending me a commputer with the webcam built in. Have no idea if I will use it though. Don't want to get dressed to use the messenger. which will hopefully work better on this one.

Griz got me a webcam the last time I was up here but I have yet to use it....
I figured it wouldn't work very well with dial-up. 
But when I move up here I am leaving it with my daughter so I can see her and my grandchildren while I am talking with them....
The question is......................can you still walk? Well, kind of , sorta. slowly
