Yesterday, while shopping for bottle of soda for a family get together, I had a little accident. There was only on bottle of a particular flavor soda left on the shelf and it was all the way to the back of the shelf. I reached in as carefully as I could to get it, while pulling it out, I bumped one of the other flavored sodas near the front of the shelf and knocked it off. I tried to catch it as it fell, but was too slow. I tried to catch it when it bounced, but only succeeded in hitting my head on the cart. I tried to catch it on the second bounce but was still reeling from hitting my head. When the bottle hit the floor for the third time. the cap shot off and the bottle became a rocket down the aisle, drenching me in soda. I was too stunned to try to say anything as the bottle continued spewing its contents like a jet contrail. The bottle went between a woman's legs, who just happened to be wearing a skirt and blouse.
The underside of her legs were coated with the soda, and she let out with a very loud scream. I was laughing so hard by then I was completely unable to do anything. One of the store stockers saw what had happened but was like me, unable to do anything but laugh hystericly at the whole scene. It took a good 5 minutes for the stocker an myself to calm down to be able to tell the store manager and security what had happened. By then, they were laughing along with us. The lady with the wet legs even managed to laugh after all was said and done.
So, be very careful when getting a 2 liter bottle of soda from the back of the shelf, or at least have a slicker on.
