It happens on the street, across the hall, in a crowded room, at the gas station. Our eyes lock briefly in chance meeting. When you look into my eyes during that moment, what do you see?

Do you see my pulse quicken? Do you see how my mind springs to action? Checking you from all angles at once, stripping you down to your bare essentials? Conjuring ways to touch, taste, smell you, to ignite passion in you. To learn the things that make you weak with anticipation, weaker on deliverance. To learn those things you can't even communicate because you don't know them yourself. Those things that reduce you to an animal state, low, gutteral, gasping. Those things I live to bring out in you?

No, no, you can't possibly see that. You couldn't for if you did you wouldn't just stand there. Motion would have to be inspired. Away from me in disgust at my uncouth perversion, or toward me in transfixed curiosity, motion is demanded by a vision like this.

What you see is not in a poem or love story. It's merely a reflection. A reflection of yourself and those around you. A reflection of societal boundries. You see the curl of a smile begin to cross my lips and the moment is over, our gaze broken.

If you could see past the mirror, past the gaze of a common man, which way would you move?
