Some of you know that as of 8/9/09, I'm out of a job.

I just found out today that the billing person quit. She took another job but had been coming in on her spare time to do the billing, but her last day apparenty was Saturday. She told them she couldn't keep up. It's just me and the surgery scheduler left (and a part-time girl that works maybe a whole 10 hours a week). The surgery scheduler is going on vacation in 2 weeks. Our part-time girl was supposed to cover for her but has kidney stones and needs to have surgery. She said she is going to try and schedule her surgery after the other lady's vacation, but she is not sure if she can and what if she has an emergency? I wish I could just walk out of here and never look back, but if I do that, I won't be able to get unemployment (if I don't find a job before then).

I have applied to numerous places with no response. What the fuck is the problem? I'm definitely qualified. I'm really frustrated. This place better not think they are going to put all this crap on me.

What's next? "Oh sorry, but since we haven't gotten our billing done, you don't get a paycheck?"

I just needed to vent. I guess I'm a little worried whether or not I'm going to...oh you know...have food on the table and a roof over my head pretty soon. Unemployment is like what...a third of what you make? Yeah...that's really going to pay my bills

Oh DMB I am so sorry you are going through this. Sadly jobs are not easy to come by but I hope that you find one real soon. I will keep you in my prayers that you find a new job.

I know how you feel. Right at the end of working where I was at, they took ,y boss away & put her in another dept. & made me in charge of my own dept. Many times I wanted to walk out. But, instead......I'd just step out for a smoke break & let off steam......I wish you the best!

Sorry to hear your losing your job and now all of this to boot. Try not to stress though. Keep looking and don't give up. My husband was out of work for a bit, he updated his resume and put it on monster. He ended up getting a goverment job that even helped him get a security clearance. Took a few months but he did it. The unemployment he had bewtween jobs did suck and did not cover even half of our bills. We made it though, you can to. Keep your chin up hun.

I've already mentioned this to some of you on here, but I had to quit smoking pot a about a month and a half ago because I need to be clean if I find a job that wants a drug test, which it seems every job does now (but you can be on welfare and smoke and be a drug dealer ). So I don't even have that to calm my nerves

I know, I know...that's the least of my worries, but it really pisses me off that I can't do that. Damn government anti-marijuana propaganda That's for another blog some day

Seems as though things get really screwed up (being nice here) and then... the winds shift and things start to look better! It's a cycle, like everything else is, in this universe! What you did with the pot, is a good positive thing to do! If you had to go out tomorrow to look for a job, you would have that issue (the THC in your blood) weighing on your mind! So, in my mind anyway, an accolades is deserved here!

It's been hard (the stress of the job situation AND the quitting smoking). The 2 together and I've been hell on wheels!! My husband still smokes it and I just sit there and take in the great smell of marijuana goodness It's taken a lot of willpower to not take a toke that's for sure!!

I also thought I would add (because me and my co-worker were just talking about it), how TIRED I have been lately. I can sleep and sleep and sleep and wake up and I'm STILL tired. I come to work and then go home and just lay on the couch (sometimes I fall asleep and sometimes I just lay there like a lump on a log). I know it's depression. It sucks! I don't even have a libido lately. My husband will ask for sex and I have to keep turning him down. I'm just not in the mood...at all

So yeah...I got that going for me too...go me!

The sleep & tiredness thing sound like a bit of depression is going on...and who could blame you? The stress of not knowing what the future holds can be a killer. On the bright side, you do have a wonderful man at your side that loves you and that will make it a little easier to deal with what is to come. Vent away, Baby!

I'm certainly not a doc and maybe it is a form of depression but maybe it might be organic too?

In your situation a bit of depression is not unheard of... it sucks! However, the way you are feeling is also a temporary side effect of stopping the intake of THC. I don't know how long it's been, but it takes at least 3 - 6 months to rid yourself of 98% of it. Try to go outside or somewhere else while hubby tokes... being around it will only increase the time it tkes to get out of your system... sorry, but that's what it takes. If you want to flush it out more quickly increase fiber intake and drink at least ten large glasses of water a day for at least two weeks. Yeh, you pee and poop more, but you'll feel better faster.

Ask hubby to give you a massage... it will release some endorphines and maybe even get you in the mood. Worth a try!

I hope something positive job wise pops up soon.
