I personally have enjoyed reading them, but have a few questions.

Why is it that if your views differ from someone else's politically you are whining and bitching, but if they are the same as your views they are giving information or stating fact?

How do you go about giving info about how you see this Country heading without someone with opposing view calling you a whiner?

To become informed one must do the research and look at all sides of the issues, but how do you do that without reading or listening to someone else's "whining and bitching"?

Why is it people want you to stop bitching about past Administrations when you can learn from their fuck-ups?

Why is it that we don't learn from past fuck-ups that have failed time and time again? Do we think we can fuck it up better the next time?

FUCK.............WHY ask WHY???????????????? Because it is at least for the most part a free County and at least for now I can.

I can also say LETS ALL GET OUT THERE AND FUCK............. Whose with me???

I don't know, but my latest comment got a response that offended me, so I shall refrain in the future from commenting on polictical blogs. I try and see all sides of the picture. I'm by no means a political guru or claim to be, but I do know what I believe in and stand for and when I'm attacked because of it, it greatly offends me. I haven't ever attacked anyone here for what they believe in. To each his own and we all have different beliefs and views. Does that mean that what I believe is right or wrong? No, it just means that's what I believe.

Shoving your views and opinions down someone's throat is not going to change anything. I know what I stand for and believe in. I don't need some stranger on a web site to tell me different and a blog about it certainly won't change how I feel...something I feel VERY STRONGLY about.

Religion and politics....any blogs about these two subjects from now on will be ignored by me.

Apparently, I misunderstood this person, which I tend to do a lot online, and wasn't being "attacked" for my opinion, but I'm still done with the polictical stuff. I don't want to read it anymore. It's making my head spin.

No doo doo!!! Everybody has a right to their opinion without being castigated for it!

Ah....... quit whining.

Seriously, all bitching aside, there are a LOT of good points being exchanged and it's worth suffering the process. And yes, a lot less.... I"m right and you're an idiot... would improve the dialog.

Hopefully, this isn't too far off point. What I am noting is that many of these blogs originate from posters whose first blog came after the election. It doesn't take too much imagination to figure out how many blogs and comments there were and how long they were on dozens of blogs in the year before the election. Consequently, what a new poster might say is the first time that they have said it here. It is not the first time or even the 100th time those of us who have been around for a long time have conceptually read the sentiments.

There will be a few people that agree and comment, a few people that disagree and comment, while the vast majority are sick of hearing about it, especially those who have been around for quite a while.

Overwhelmingly, once an election is over, AMD people are quite apolitical beyond how whatever it is effects them and their family directly. After all, it is well known that of all western democracies, America has the lowest voter turn out, participation rate, etc.

Well I have the perfect answer....for ME. I sometimes read a political blog, sometimes not...depending on the first paragraph. I skip read through the comments.

Some makes me smile. Some makes steam come outta my ears. But I never EVER post a comment.

OMG.... works for me every time!

Black Sabbath's War Pigs

Generals gathered in their masses,
just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction,
sorcerers of death's construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
as the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind,
poisoning their brainwashed minds.
Oh lord, yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away.
They only started the war.
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor, yeah.

Time will tell on their power minds,
making war just for fun.
Treating people just like pawns in chess,
wait till their judgement day comes, yeah.

Now in darkness world stops turning,
ashes where the bodies burning.
No more War Pigs have the power,
Hand of God has struck the hour.
Day of judgement, God is calling,
on their knees the war pigs crawling.
Begging mercies for their sins,
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings.
Oh lord, yeah!

I think political blogs are good for everyone to read whether they agree with the author or not. I tried yesterday to give people something to think about and make sure there were no personal attacks on anyone for their beliefs.

I am not a Democrat nor am I a republican. I have had to vote for the lessor of evils for so long, that I am not sure if I even want to count myself as independent, more like dependent on what crooked asshole each party is going to throw in to the ring this time. Do i think Obama is fucking up Yes do I think GW fucked up Yes. But as I have said many times, it is not only our right to question our President, It is our duty!!

I have read political blogs here by people that I already knew which way the wind blew for them before I even opened up the blog. I read it anyway, even if I didn't comment on it. I believe you can learn something from anyone even if they don't have the same beliefs as you. The problem comes when people have made up their mind so much that they are not willing to open up their minds and explore other possibilities. I am not saying they have to change their mind, just open it up a little. That's part of what is wrong with this country, people make up their mind who they think is the best in power, and don't want to listen to anything else because it just might sway them a bit.........and then they might have to admit that someone else may have a good point or two.

So apparently this is my whining and bitching for the day.

First I want to 'fess up. I am the one who wrote a political blog. I was not even aware this site existed before the election. What I wrote was to give people food for thought. There was no intent to attack anyone. I stated a few facts and gave my opinion on them, hoping, not to change any minds, but to offer some alternatives.

I should also clarify this comment as well it appears. This is not directed or aimed at anybody who has written me, commented on my blogs. not even those who attacked, me personal in emails and called me everything but a human being. Funny they wrote me with nastygrams and hate, but not one of them commented on the site. What does that tell you, sports fans?

My intent was not to "shove anything down anyones throat." I have seen misinformation and shear lack of knowledge about things mention in blogs that were not considered political. Searching for jobs, the housing bubble, the problems of the auto industry and so on. I hate to be the bearer of bad news folks, but these are political matters! No one seems to look at cause and effect, they just blame Bush. Well he ain't the President anymore. He "fucked up plenty as I have said and I'm constantly reminded. Folks, he was only President for 8 elected years! These problems started in many cases before he ever ran for any office. I just wanted people to think for themselves. Is that such a hideous crime? Should I be burned at the stake for my thoughts?
Just a thought.

All I have to say politically is that instead of complaining, we should get off our collective asses and do something about it. If you aren't part of the solution you are part of the problem, right? Voting isn't enough, people. And, sadly, few even exercise that right. But, boy, as a country, we sure exercise the right to complain about the way things are.

Other than that, I really don't state my political views here. Personally I'd rather stick with talking about my sexual views...and the current profile view of Surv is very nice.

Not reading political blogs is not a sign of a closed mind. It just means that this is one particular venue of political "education" that I prefer to skip. Lord knows there's enough articles and opinions on the news and in the newspapers...not to mention neighbors, relatives and friends. Blogs about it, for me is overload and not what I'm here for. Life has enough problems and drama...I look for fun things.

Funny they wrote me with nastygrams and hate, but not one of them commented on the site. What does that tell you, sports fans?

Look at the bright side, they took their venom to private email. If they would have posted them on the blog, all hell would have broken loose and the carnage of a flame war unleashed.

For what ever my opinion is worth, to preserve the peace, if some of these things do come to the blog in the form of comments, delete them immediately and don't hesitate to use the block button. My .$ .02.

I enjoy reading politcal blogs, but when Shawn hannity doesnt agree with you, he calls you names like whiner, socialist, Liberal and even blocks your comments! Why do conservatives constantly blame the media for their demise???????? I personally think the conservative media with people like hannity and limbaugh, just to name a few, are what turned middle leaning conservative voters away from the republican party in the last presidential election. I dont think McCain wanted Palin on his ticket but had to appease the extreme right or else they were going to crap on him. Basically, McCain could have won the election even with the bush administration black cloud looming over his head.........just my opinion.
