It would seem that most people have the opinion that once a person reaches a certain age, their sex life is over. That simply is not true for both men and women. There are many of us that are on the uphill side of 60 that are actually better lovers than we were when we were younger.
As we grow older, we realize that sex is a very important and pleasurable part of our lives, and we tend to take our time and enjoy it. When we were younger we were always in a hurry. Now we take the time to enjoy it.
Yes, we have wrinkles where we once were tight and taunt. Yes we have a little pouch and cellulite. But just remember one of these days, you too will be here, and wondering where your youth went!!
Yes, one of these days, you too will be here, so be careful of making jokes, ridiculing, and otherwise being nasty toward older people.
Peace and good will to all.

I agree! My sex drive is higher than it was before my 40s- could be I'm just hornier then when I was getting it more frequently but, none-the-less, it's higher! I've learned new things- more importantly, the way I kiss!

Also, I do take my time and it's for her pleasure before mine or together! When you're young, more often than not, it's about getting laid, period! I've learned two important things above all others- I have a passion for deep kissing and cuddling, before and after sex!

Just my 2ยข worth!

You wouldn't believe how many people think anyone over 40 is over the hill. I'm 42 and people kid me all the time about it.

I have a birthday coming up in a couple of weeks, so I can't complain about anything. lol

I've always liked older men, seems I had the right idea to begin with. But......since I'm getting "older" myself does that mean I should start looking for someone my own age now?

Blueeyes - the entire intent of my blog is to point out that in reality, age is just a number. In my opinion, you should date whoever makes you feel comfortable. Best of luck to you.

I am 57 and it is getting so hard to find women my age who still finds intimancy exciting. I am beginning to wonder if there might be younger women who would find someone with more experience attractive. I always have a 4 day weekend, love to travel, and wouldn't even mind going to the surrounding states to find romance and happiness..

Age is a state of mind...if ya think you're old you'll act like it. My late husband was OLD at 40. I have girlfriends that are younger than me but act like they're old foggies.

I'll never grow old or grow up! Life's too much fun
