I love animals, so it would probably go to something to do with animals....shelters, etc. Sorry people...I love animals more than you

I would divide it into an ample amount of lump sums & spread it out to the seriously less fortunate & divide the original two amongst family & friends.. Perhaps some of that will go to the less fortunate as well. I'm not greedy

If that were the case, 10 mil to myself and the other 10 mil would go towards sickle cell, diabetes, and cancer research. To help AIDS charities in 3rd world countries and to help with the Net Neutrality cause.

Actually- I'd split it this way: I'd take a mill for myself- a mill for my family and split the rest between St. Jude and Make a Wish Foundation- with the stipulation that I could visit the kids in both institutions occasionally, to see how they're progressing!

The Native American Scholarship fund. A lot of the kids on the rez gorw up in poverty and have no hope of going to even a community college. I would like to give them a chance to help themselves and their people.

I would set up a trust fund for my son to provide the necessities of life and things he may want for the rest of his life. Any money that was leftover after he should, god forbid, pass away on me, it would then go to provide for other handicapped people the basics, like hygiene products as many in group homes still have to buy it out of the piddleing amount they are allowed to keep out of their SSI.

Most likely there would be a rule you couldn't give it to a relative. Even if it were only a million or two you got to keep most would be better off than they are if they were capapble of not going on a spending spree. Giving away money you never recieved should be easy. Everyone has a special cause that has affected a relative or friend in the past. Like many of you said by stating your donation preferences. No need to be greedy. If you win you are still better off than you were. I am sure it would be very exciting and to be able to give half of your winnings away would definately give you a feel good about yourself. I would give to the Human Society, Cancer Research, AIDS Reasearch for the USA, and Research on the care of elderly. Fun Blog!

I would donate the other half to diabetes, leukemia and cancer research. Being diabetic myself, I have many family members that have diabetes too. And cancer has touched my life too and now, I have a friend that we think she has leukemia, she goes to the oncologist on Wednesday...My heart is broken for her.
I would also donate to the Humana society too or I would round up as many stray animals as I could find and take and have them fixed and hopefully find good homes for.
There are just too many worthy causes out there to pinpoint a few... I wish I could make a difference in some way.

That is actually a difficult question.
$2 mil is a lot of money, but when it comes to helping worthy charities, the homeless and the multitudes of worthy other people, unfortunately $2 mil isn't going to go real far.
I'm not sure if I would give it all to one place or devide it amongst the cancer society, kidney foundation, alzheimers foundation and to help as many homeless or hungry people as possible.
