I saw the new Star Trek movie at the IMAX theater in the Bob Bullock Museum in downtown Austin on Saturday night with my best friends - it was AWESOME! It was so good that I had tears running down my face. This is the only Star Trek movie I've seen that made me cry like that. There was a lot of things in this movie that explained a lot from the original Star Trek series and there were some things that people didn't know. No spoilers here! BTW, the guy who plays the "young" Spock is a TOTAL hottie!

I went out by myself last night and saw the new Disney movie, Earth. It was really good and the cinematography was outstanding. How they were in the right place at just the right time to get a lot of these shots was beyond me. If you like seeing wildlife in their natural habitats with all their trials and tribulations, then this is the movie for you.

I highly recommend these two movies - 2 thumbs up!

BTW, I'm going to Colorado again this weekend to visit my little brother's family for the long Memorial Day weekend. It's nice to work for the government and getting all these holidays off!

I understand it sometimes takes days or weeks, to get some of the short film footage on some of the wildlife footage they get! That means even camping out in the area of interest, until the subject(s) of interest comes to the camera's view and not necessarily the other way around! I think the original Earth documentary took 5 years to film, edit and produce!

That new star trek movie was great, and that's hard for me to admit as a star wars fan. But I only cried at the beginning when Kirk's Dad did what he did (not to ruin it for those of you who have not seen it).
