We have a chicken processing plant here. Chicken chasing is the worst part of the job, (and all of them are very difficult).
The chickens dont want to get into the box, so they dont just stand there waiting to be picked up. You really have to chase them, wading chicken shit and chicken feathers covered in chicken shit....you can smell a chicken barn for miles....

Laugh and joke all you want, but if those little peckers don't wanna get caught, they can easily outrun and dodge my fat ass. Best to wait for them to roost at dusk, it's easy then.

It reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite, "Do the chickens have large talons?"
If you haven't seen the movie, you have no idea what I'm talking about. If you have seen the movie, you've got to be laughing

Strange jobs? I have had a few as I was on my own with three kids and if it paid well I took it. I think the strangest one was working for the department of sanitation. I was the only female on the trucks at the time. But then there was the animal pick up truck three times a week. As I was the only woman on the crew I was not about to complain about any job they had. It paid $11 an hour at a time when everyone else was making a little over five dollars an hour. I have worked on farms pulling the worms off the tobacco. Wardrobe mistress at a strip club in Atlantic City drummer in a rock band. Oops that job was not strange just the band members were rather strange there. I think the job I have now is the first normal job I have ever worked.

Oh man !!! Try working in a chicken house, that was one of my worst jobs working as a farm hand all through high school ... I had to walk through all the chickens to make sure they didn't die from the extreme heat & I hated picking up the dead ones which just fell apart most of the time ... It's a nasty job dealing with chickens no matter what your doing with them

hmmmm.....the strangest jobs.....
I was watching dirty jobs on discovery channel, and there were episodes of the cow implanter and the pig milker. The farm house put his whole arm and put it in a cow's butt. The cow pooped (all the cows pooped) and he put in a bull sperm inside of their vagina. Something about widening the passage in the vagina...I still didn't understand it.
Another one was a pig milker. The milker put a dummy female pig in a special pen and sprayed it with piggy sex hormones. The boars got horny and mated with the dummy pig. There's a wide hole where the pig's stick their erected penises through. The milker than "milks" the pigs until he's done mating with the dummy boar.
I rather do the chicken job any day of the week instead of being an implanter or a milker
