Thank God It's Friday...it's been a rough week. I'm tired of working, I'm tired of worrying, I just want to have some fun!!!!
But I've found that some of the things I do every weekend keep me from having fun. We are often our own worst enemy, limiting ourselves far more than anone else. So I've decided to make a list of the things I'm NOT going do, things that always ambush my fun. Here's my list. What are you NOT going to do this weekend?
I'm NOT going to worry about work!
I'm NOT going to worry about money!
I'm NOT going to worry if I'm ok to drive home from the party, I'll give up my keys when I get there...their couch looks very comfortable.
I'm NOT going to forget Mother's Day.
I'm NOT going to say NO when that less than perfect lady at the end of the bar (you know the one) asks me if I wanna.......  ....well, we'll see about that one.

Now, what will I NOT be doing?
Almost everything but driving, reading and watching Sponge Bob with the three year old grandson. Let me explain. I will first be at my dad's and he is 88. You've heard of these small towns where they fold up the sidewalks at night? Well, his town doesn't have any sidewalks. Then I will go to my daughter's. You turn off the paved road and drive four miles over three dirt roads to get there. In both cases you can see and do everything that there is to see and do without ever going there.

I am not staying home from work.
I am not going to be comfortable there cause my knees ache from the concrete floor and my neck hurts for whatever reason...almost to the point where I feel like throwing up.
I am not going to be rude or mean to anyone who deserves it.
I am not going to worry asbout how much money I will make because just being there I will be making more than if I stayed home.
I am not going to get laid.
I am not going to worry about not getting laid.
If I have a drink after work I am not going to worry about driving cause I don't have a car.
I am not going to worry about what I don't have to eat at home cause I very rarely have anything here to eat.
I am not going to do anything this weekend other than work.

As a sequel to my comment. Where my dad lives is a town of 303 people, Morrisville, mostly ranchers and farmers. The entire county, Polk County, Missouri is all white except for seven Asian females, all war brides. My joke about it is, what do you call a black resident of Polk County? An angus (that is an all black cattle breed that is bred for beef, not as milk cows).

I'm not going to complain about all the rain.... after all, summer before last we were begging for rain.
I'm not going to get to be where I want to be.
I'm not going to be having sex...well, at least not with anyone.
I'm not going to just sit in this house all weekend.. regardless of the weather.
