road trips posted 5/4/2009 8:16:48 PM | 0 kudos what's this?     report abuse   ladykendra who likes them? what would you do on one? hope i get some replys on those questions ! myself and two friends went to see a music show this last weekend . one of my friends drove . we also played a few dollars on slots at an on the way casino . swimming at an indoor pool on the way home . it was fun ! 	I like road trips as long as Im going somewhere new and there is plenty of scenery. Driving through city after city is not what i call fun. Like to stop at different tourist site and take my time. Being on the road for 8 to 12 hours and seeing just road isnt fun. Would like to be able to drive across the US. Mountains, forests, beaches and desert regions. If you can take the time to enjoy. I believe that would be fun.

	I'm planning a road trip to Washington, DC this summer. Museums, music, art, a glass (or bottle) of wine or two, maybe some companionship. Even if I go alone, it is a getaway! And DC in the summer is pretty cheap.

	Road trips are the best thing ever. My longest one was from Columbus to San Luis Obispo, CA and back- did it twice while I was in school out there. Also have done San Francisco to Oregon, and Columbus to Ft. Meyers, FL. Most recent one was to Telluride, CO this past winter in a 2wd Honda Accord, 31 hours straight through there, and straight through 'till we got hit by a drunk driver in Kansas City on the way back . Spent 5 hours in an IHOP by the freeway, and caught a bus home. That part sucked.

	if i had the money and time to do it i would love to road trip to any and every town that has a point of interest to me or any of my friend who can go alone. no time worrys so we could and would check out all the parks and towns along the way .

	I love road trips, but I'm horrible at them. I like to stop everywhere and take photos, stretch my legs, take in the scenery, etc. To me the destination isn't that important, but I'd say my favorite road trip was to go see Carlos Mencia a while ago. If you like his show at all I highly recommend going to see him live. The show I saw had five funny opening acts, then his set ran long, and finally he did an encore mini-set. Most comedic bang for your buck!
