I always find it interesting this time of year, many call the holidays the giving season, and I agree, but who is doing the giving?......
I am a pretty fortunate guy, I am a partner in a construction company, and make a pretty decent living doing it. I am a strong believer in helping someone in need anytime of the year....not just on the holidays. Don't get me wrong, even though business is good ...I am not even close to a 6 or 7 figure a year guy, but I always find it in my heart around Christmas to buy alot of toys for needy boys and girls and donate them to the Marines or to a church...etc. I have also added to my santa list a new giving tree Starbucks is doing...buying toys and pajamas for needy local school children, and it makes me feel good to know Santa is coming to see some children who might have not seen him otherwise...back to the point of the story, I do work for alot of very , very wealthy clients.......people who spend upwards of $100,000 to remodel a kitchen or build a $850,000 home and a 4 car garage to go with it, rolex watches, Acura NSX's, hummers, you name it and they have 16 of it.....Why is it alot of these people don't help others in need? Money is no object and they couldn't be bothered....I'm not saying that all wealthy people don't help people, but the majority of the helpers I see are the factory workers, grocery store employees, mail people, marines...etc? These are the middle class american that mostly live from week to week .All I can say is....!@#$%^&*()_+
Come on Trumps....you can even write gifts and donations off of your taxes and save more money.......
If you've never given to a needy person, try it this holiday season, whatever faith you are, and you'll then feel the true meaning of the holidays...... .

Middle class americans feel the need to give and share more because at some point in time most of them have gone through hardships of their own where they either needed help or just barely got by. I have thought quite a bit on this and not all rich people are that selfish but there are alot of them that grew up rich and just dont think about the needy in this world... but those that know how it feel to have trouble finding christmas for their children or relatives, feel more compelled to help.

Most of those factory workers and Grocery store employees have at one time probably known someone who needed the help or needed the help themselves. My family was poor growing up and my mother had used those services in the past. Every time i cash my check i donate 2 to 5 dollars to the salvation army and buy at least one toy for toys for tots every year. I figure i'd rather have some kid who needs it be happy than to order out pizza or have a mcnugget meal. I guess it's my way of saying thanks for being there when i didn't have anything and i want to see you around for those who have been in my situation.
