My second love (Ann) whom I met in June 1984 picked the 1985 song "Crazy for you" by Madonna a year after we met for the both of us for our love song. When I hear that song today I think of Ann and I and remember all the good times we had. She once wrote me a letter after I broke up with her in Dec. 1985 telling me that she will always love me no matter what. I still have that letter today post marked on it Dec.5, 1985 when stamps were just $.22 cents. I showed Tash that letter her mom wrote me. I was thinking that was a powerful moment having her daughter touch the very same letter her mom wrote me 21 years ago to the date. Getting back to the songs...when Tash was down here in August with her bf at the time I shared the song with her about "Crazy for you" being mine and her mom's song together. She thought that was so cool and she came up with a song for her and her bf. The only problem was it was a country song. Haha But hey, that's what she wanted so I have no problem with that. I think most couples should have that "special song" that was out the first year or two after they first meet. If you had a song when you once went with that special love in your life, what was the song and who sung the song?

This blog I re-edited from my original in Jan. 2007. Enjoy!

"I Melt With You" by Modern English was our song. We had kind of a bad break up so for many years any time I heard that song I would switch it off. Now I hear it and it just brings a smile to my face, thinking about how young and stupid and in love we were, all the crazy things we did. All the "firsts" we shared together. Thanks for making me think of those things this morning Straddle.

seems I rather connect singers/bands with past lovers, not just a single song ...
Spider Murphy Gang (Bavarian group) revives memories of my 1st boyfriend ever ... "It's all over Now, Baby Blue" for the guy picking my cherry ... Stevie Ray Vaughn and Joe Jackson for my first 10-year relation ship ... and Joe Cocker for a guy I nearly talk/mail to daily from here

Congrats on your 800th blog...Sorry I wasn't around when it was posted. I don't get on here much anymore. I work way to much, have a man I love dearly and a beautiful teenage daughter. Sorry I got off track there.

I don't remember having a song to go with a boyfriend. My memory if fading away with age
