I was watching Fox News this morning and this topic came up. Before they started talking about it the news made it sound like she was singled out because she was pregnant, but that wasn't the case. That company had to lay off 300 workers I believe as her company made some cuts. She was one of them that was laid off. With her being pregnant, should she have been given more preferential treatment because of her pregnancy and not fired no matter what the reason the company may have had? What's your opinion?

In other news, I just learned this morning that Farrah Fawcett is gravely ill with cancer. Her family is at her bedside this morning. She's only 62 years old. My prayers and thoughts go out to her and her family.

No....no preferential treatment.....she was laid off as part of a large cutback.....and she just happened to be pregnant.....How many men were laid off, and have a pregnant wife at home?....

no i don't think she should be given any special treatment they should go by seniority and she should be treated like every body else.im sure that some of the other people that work there have problems too. in this day and age im sad to say getting laid off is just part of it hopefully things will work out for her and her new baby.

I agree with what the others have said.. 
Farrah Fawcett Has been fighting a battle of cancer for awhile now..She was doing really good till this weekend.. My heart goes out to her fighting this horrible battle..

no...it happens to the best of us. as far as farrah..thats sad..so many sick..patrick swayze looks terrible these days! cancer sux for anyone famous or not! my best friend and sister are both fighting it!
