Time passes you don't hear from them. Your write just a little note saying hi, or whatever and they don't respond. Do you think they were your friends?? What if your friend or friends finds a perfect mate they don't call or write?? What if you lose your job?? Do you call them for support? A shoulder to lean on? What about those people who you thought were just acquaintaces?? All of a sudden they are there for you, they notice when your not online or at the job or not commenting much How do you determine who really gives a rats ass about YOU?? Is it the person you thought was your friend who you never hear from? Or the person who surprised you with a call/note ?? You know the friends who do call you or write I have 3 How many do you have? 	You make a good point. I think some people know who their real friends are. I have a few good friends that I have met on here that I talk with over the phone just about every day.

	Well I do know...after I got laid off... the ppl I thought were my Friends... avoid me.. in real life! On-Line....hell who knows! How do you determine who really gives a rats ass about YOU?? You have Got me!!! I am the worlds worst about that!! I use to talk to a bunch of ladies from here(Phone)... But I have not talked to anyone in a very Long time!!!!! Women here now a days..wanna talk via emails!!! Go figure?

	I consider a friend who is there through the good and bad. The rest are acquantances. At first it's hard to tell which a person is. But if you rarely hear from them, they never reply to your calls, emails, texts, etc. then they aren't really friends or acquaintances. I think I have a different view on this. I put energy in the relationships where a person reciprocates. If it's a one way street I walk away. Friendships are meant to be 2 ways. I won't put up with a one sided friendship very long before I give up and move on. Life's too short to waste time on someone who could care less. I deserve better than that.

	I have a friend that i've known going on 26 years...we may not talk very often, but she has been there for me through a lot of shit, just as I have been for her. We may see each other once a year if we are lucky...she lives in MI.... And Toad...I'd call ya, iffen I had your number!!

	Why do friends have to have titles to separate them? Perhaps those people that you "thought" were your friends really are but they are busy with stuff going on in their own lives. Perhaps those acquaintances are just that but suddenly noticed you were not around and was curious as to why. The point I am making is that it doesn't matter what they are as long as you care for them and they care for you. How often have you written those acquaintances for no reason, those that now will be considered friends because they wrote to you? Personally I think a friend is anyone I can call up anytime I want to. To me a friend isn't so much who gives a rats ass about me, but who I give a rats ass about. JMO I went to a school reunion a few years ago and a girl that I grew up with and was best friends with even a few years after we graduated said to me, You know its a shame that we haven't kept in touch, why haven't you called me. My answer was this Why didn't you?

	yes, you are absolutely right. I have 2 really good ones from here. No matter how b****y i get they listen. Thanks for reminding us how rare & special it is to have these people in our lives. Thanks Lisa.
