What is your perfect breakfast??

I can never decide what I want for breakfast, pancakes, hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash, toast, english muffins, bagels......I mean this list can go on and on.

I happen to love english muffins, hash, scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and bacon. Love hot chocolate too!!

What does your perfect breakfast consist of??

(Ok, my true choice of breakfast is a tall glass of cum, but I'll settle for eggs....)

Every Saturday and Sunday, I go to my favorite restaurant and have 3 eggs over easy, ham, potatos and Texas toast/ coffee.

They cook everything the way I like it and some waitresses know what I want, when I come in... or do they??

Too bad my sex life couldn't work out like that! And if I had a date, she could order a glass of cum on the side when we got home.

When hungry, -- eggs over easy, bacon, homefries with onions & peppers, wheat toast/jam, O.J. & coffee.

Otherwise, I live on oatmeal with brown sugar/honey/milk and an O.J.

I gather you like your eggs runny with a lot of salt?

I always like a nice tight MUFFin before getting out of bed but once im up and moving around biscuits and gravy with a tall bloody mary is the perfect way to get the day started..

Right now it's goetta with fried eggs, and coffee. Sausage or bacon with eggs fried
in the fat is pretty good, too. Hash browns and buttered english muffins are a nice
bonus.

Bonus points to anyone out there who's familiar with goetta...

Goetta ?? Haven't had it in years. Used to make our own on my Grandad's farm -- beef/sausage with oats ( and we used cornflakes, lol) made into patties and grilled/fried up.

Yummy !!

Four egg omlet: 1/2 cup ground sausage with 2 spoonsful of A1 sauce, 1/2 cup of diced onions, 1/4 cup shredded cheese (Kraft 4 cheeses), a tiny punch of salt, 1/8 cup of bacon bits, a sprinkle of ground black pepper, 1/4 cup of chopped up Italian sausage, a spoonful of banana pepper juice, 1/8 cup of milk, and a spoonful of italian seasoning. YUM YUM!!

On the goetta, give us a recipe. I looked it up on line and it is popular around Cincinnati, but involved "steel head oats". I don't even know what "steel head oats" is and doubt that our markets carry it.

As I was telling Sunshine, goetta is a German dish found mainly in the Cincinnati
area. It's composed of ground oats mixed with pork fat and spices, so watch your
cholesterol! A similar dish called scrapple uses corn meal instead of oats; it appears
(from past reading) that the same German clans may have settled in the Midwest area
and brought the tradition from the fatherland to Cincinnati and Pennsylvania.

I don't have a bit of German in me, and my family is from New England, so all my
knowledge of goetta is from osmosis. I doubt that my father or mother have ever
tasted goetta (or Cincinnati style chili, for that matter!). If you google "goetta" or "goetta
recipe" you'll get some sense of what spices, etc. are used.

FYI, the "steel" in "steel oats" refers to how the oats are procesed (I believe....)

Scrambled eggs and chorizo with homemade tortillas or a BLT (make the bacon a little floppy...oh, and peppered!).

4 egg omelet?!?!??!?!?! OMG! I like going to breakfast with my dad because I can order the omelet I want, he orders what he wants and then eats the rest of my omelet. About 1.5 eggs (no toast or biscuits) and I am more than full.

YUCK YUCK YUCK!!! I don't do breakfast. The only time I would consider it would be if I was up all night and got hungry during those hours. And then I would have to have foods such as pizza, chocolate, or something else that's dinner type food.

Well, before I became health-conscious, it used to be: 3 epic pancakes with strawberry jam or maple-butter syrup (btw,to make them fluffier and cripsy on the edges- use ice water and an egg), 2 thick slices of country bacon and a glass of cold whole milk or OJ if it was present.

Now- Old-fashioned oats with soy milk, sugar and cinnamon. Which is good in itself until you had it so many times it tastes like wallpaper paste.

This isnt breakfast but it could be; its basically a hash-type/fried-rice thing: Sautee some chopped garlic, diced onion, green peppers and some chopped sausage together on high heat. When that gets brown, add some left-over white rice (or brown) making sure the rice doesn't burn or stick. Then add two whisked eggs in scrambling them together, making sure the eggs don't get tough and voila. I like mines on toasted bread for some reason. Its good. Nowadays I make this recipe without sausage. :'(

You can probably take Quaker oats and spin them in the food processor to get
something like steel head oats. I had the same question when I looked for ingredients
to goetta, and finally stumbled across a reference which said something about how
the oats are processed before being mixed with the other ingredients. Sorry I can't
be more specific...

Well, you just described my perfect breakfast.

The steak must be well done, scrambled eggs with lots of pepper & marmalade instead of jam on the toast. Gosh darn it now I am hungry & have no food in the house!

Anything I don't have to serve

I am not a breakfast person. If I am up early I don't eat until afternoon. If I was to have breakfast it would be leftover pizza or something like that. I don't eat egg's often.

Once in a while I will make breakfast foods for supper.

Breakfast for supper is awesome! It just seems special for some reason! lol

I like everything but eggs for breakfast! ick! I used to eat a good breakfast every morning...well I thought it was good, it certainly wasn't good for me.... I was packing on the weight.. so now, I drink Slim Fat for breakfast and lost 19 lbs! woo hoo!! If I'm having breakfast late, I'll usually just drink a V-8. Breakfast is pretty boring for me....
