I thought that I would share this with everyone on here.

Funny, my son when he was 16 did that. Funny how people react with a 6-4 kid swinging a 6 foot claymore reacts. It definately wasn't a concealed weapon.

If he were alive and on this site today, I am sure that David Koresh would give you a kudo, I won't.
I wonder if this type of post isn't kind of a "shock jock" thing designed get people with very strong views pissed off at one another when many are already overly stressed out over quality of life issues like unemployment, paying bills, etc.
Hell, a lot of people in fear with increasing paranoia may want to get a Glock or AK47 but can't afford one.

I am going to decline to participate further even though I could as all it does is inflame people and in some way piss on their day. Therefore, it is not a healthy debate, sorry I commented earlier. Besides, this is one of those subjects where nobody is going to change anybody else's mind.

Here are some of the alternative proposals for the 2nd amendment to give you an idea of just what they were thinking.
By and large they went with the present simpler wording to avoid confusion, after all everyone knew what a 'well regulated militia' meant in those days.
From Pennsyvania:
That the people have a right to bear arms for the defense of themselves and their own state, or for the United States, or for the purpose of killing game; and no law shall be passed for disarming the people or any of them, unless for crimes committed, or real danger of public injury from individuals; and as standing armies in the time of peace are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be kept up: and that the military shall be kept under strict subordination to and governed by the civil powers.
Gee, what could they have meant by that?
From Virginia:
That the people have a right to keep and bear arms; that a well regulated militia, [I]composed of the body of the people[I] trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state; that standing armies, in time of peace, are dangerous to liberty, and therefore ought to be avoided, as far as the circumstances and protection of the community will admit; and that, in all cases, the military shall be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.

I was on a talk show in the UK with a very good friend, who happened to be the local Celeb.
He brought up the fact the in the US we are allowed to own, and carry Fire-arms. But in the UK an individual isn't only the military and the Police.
I pointed out to him, that it's quite easy to understand why the citizen of the UK aren't allowed to carry gun. When they are permitted they usually revolt against the crown, declare their independence, and become self governing. The Queen can't afford to loose anymore territories especially her own turf.
The second Amendment is to protect the people FROM the government. Not much chance of a Co de Ta' if the masses are armed as well.
And believe me it is a hot topic, Try to buy ANY ammunition in Louisiana. It's almost next to impossible. We have some for ours, but it started to disappear right after the election, and the stores just can't keep up, because the manufactures can't. You tell me.

No kidding. And when you suggest that this stuff get taken to a site that is more appropriate for political grandstanding, you get accused of wanting to silence the author because you disagree with his or her views.
I find nothing threatening about these opinions and posts - they're nothing more than regurgitation of stale arguments that haven't changed in decades.. They're designed to piss people off and get them to take sides against each other. And there certainly have been concrete examples that they succeed in doing that.

When Mick died, he left me his AK47 and Lugar..but, they're at my parent's house. Just don't care much for guns right now.
