FYI - I'm done with the political blogs. I won't be commenting on them anymore. Everybody is entitled to their opinion....I just can't read the bullshit anymore.
I'm tired of the Obama bashing too. If anyone here thinks they can do a better job in office with all the crap that is going on, I would like to see them try. I'm all for taking from the rich and giving to the poor and I think it's ABOUT TIME!

Welcome back dmb!
This does bother me because I fall into the group on the low side of high taxation. For 10 years I have been able to keep afloat and have been keeping 7 employees working. Now I am down to 2 employees and they are about to be unemployed.
I have given people work, I provide a great service, I have provided health care and it is now all going down the drain so I can help support some people that expect to have a hand out to where I gave alot to chairity of my choice and not the choice of government.
But any way it is what it is. I refuse to live this way for long and I do enjoy helping others help them self.

I'm with you Xien. I laid off my last employee last month, I kept one on over a year too long because she couldn't yet qualify for total disability, and I work for non-profit agencies that never get charged for the real amount of time I give them because they couldn't afford it. My accountant and my attorney tell me I should "reorganize" in April. I guess the April Fool was me, for carrying employees on the payroll when we didn't have enough work and when they were sick and took twice as long to do the work they used to do effortlessly. The only good news is that I've lost so much business and been forced to lay them off, and they all have had their unemployment extended. I'm glad they are taken care of, not begrudging them anything. But as a sole proprietor I don't qualify for unemployment. I only have the bills, the leases, the utilities and the charities I used to support who surprised because I now have to say no. Even as a business owner I never qualified as being "rich", especially after my wife and I divorced. She was making 6 figures. I gave all mine ot the business. I guess the joke is on me.
I promised awhile ago I would forgo political discussions as well. Too painful right now.
