Since I'm even older than you, toad, I probably have an even more warped view of old school vs new school.

Old school - a gentleman hopes for a date with a woman he finds attractive, pays of he gets the date, and prays that it goes somewhere.

New school - a guy EXPECTS the date, assumes it will be dutch, gets pissed if he doesn't get sex.

I won't play that game. Then again, I haven't dated much...maybe I'm TOO old school.

I guess I fall more into old school......with new school traits.
I believe both should have and show respect for each other. I like it when he opens my car door, holds a door open for me or others walking in or out, offers me my seat first or helps with my jacket and such.

I like when he's protective, without being posessive, but I'm protective where he's concerned also. I like getting surprised with flowers sometimes as long as I can also send them to him.

Does he still ask..for her Hand In Marriage?(No Pun Plz! lol)
Okay, no smart remarks, but you do know that's a difficult one to leave alone, right?
But yes, I guess I am old school or traditional or whatever you want to consider it where marriage proposals are concerned.

Good blog......kudos

Sorry...no help here. I'm about as old school as they come but that is a good question.

Ummm, I don't know much bout the old school. But, I'd probably prefer it that way.

I like the old ways. When people held the door for each other. I had a group of teenagers that as soon as I walked up to the door let it go. Manners seem to be what is lacking in today's society. Most people don't feel you need them anymore. So I guess I am not much help since I still prefer the old ways.

I myself prefer old school, another reason i like older men too. Respect and manners go a lot farther than the new school mind games.
