I decided to post this today with all the talk recently about losing jobs and the financial crisis. It is a piece of poetry that I look to when I need inspiration. I hope it will inspire you as well. We all just gotta keep on keepin on and hold our heads up high!
Don’t Quit!
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, when the road you’re trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest, if you must, but do not quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out; Don’t give up though the pace seems slow— You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than, It seems to a faint and faltering man, Often the struggler has given up, When he might have captured the victor’s cup, And he learned too late when the night slipped down, How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out— The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far, So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit— It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

To clarify for everyone, when I referred to TARP? It was the government response to the financial crisis. Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) also known as the Federal Bank Bailout. Others have referred to it as a piece of excrement.
Thanks DMB for encouraging those of us affected by the crisis.

Thanks Honey! I kinda quit before it was all over. I don't think I should have stuck it out because I had stuck it out already. I do appreciate the poem. I am going to keep trying till I find the right fit. I have a job interview today at 4:30. I will let all know how it goes when I get home. I appreciate your poem!

Thanks. I admit, I've had moments, especially in the last couple of months, where I have felt like giving up..but I look around me and think, "like hell, I've worked hard for what I've got, and I'm not about to give it up without a fight!".
Also, my Mom keeps telling me things will improve, just got to be patient. Patient? Me? That's funny!
