So here I am enjoying Super Bowl Sunday right? The blogs have been entertaining. The beer is cold. I have wayyyy too much food. I'm outside feeding my squirrel (not skwirl) and it hits me like a 50 lb sack of shit.....I miss my best friend. He's been gone a few years now but all of a sudden I get this feeling of sadness and loss. Through everything we went through ( too much to ever list here) we always connected through sports. Even if we weren't together for a big game or series, we would be on the phone constantly recalling plays or whatever....just talking about the game. While I have some very close and amazing friends these days, I still miss what I had with him. He was my best friend for 25 years and I miss the fuck out of him. He's been gone exactly 4 years and 1 day and I hope he's somewhere watching me enjoy today while knowing that I love him still and I miss him.

I think the sadness is there today because he is thinking of you too! Try and take it as a sign that you are on his mind, in his heart, and his spirit has touched you so that you can share the game with him today! I am thinking of you now too, as I am sure many are from here. We love you and want you to be happy. Having a friend like that taken from you is hard. I understand. Sorry for the loss of your friend Rich!  He's probably looking down at you and wishing he was there too.... he is in spirit!! Just look up and let him know you love him and miss him dearly.... he knows though!

my squirrel got fed prime rib and deviled eggs earlier...he's good.....as for my friend wishing he was here....he was here exactly 1 week before he died. We blew up the grill with about $800 worth of mortars. That won't be happening this year ( Just bought it yesterday) but I'm sure he's enjoying it anyways. ty peeps

It's so difficult to lose a friend like that.. Other friends can be great, but there is no such thing as a replacement.. I'm sure he knows and loves and misses you too..
You were thinking of him so strongly today because he was probably trying to tell you he was right there with you..
Way too much food and you didn't invite all of us.....or any of us. 
Oh well, as long as the squirrels aren't going hungry...lol
