While I was at the doctors office yesterday, spending a couple hours in the waiting area, there was a woman talking about the weather and how she can't get outside to walk because it's too cold. Someone asked her why she doesn't go to the mall and walk what is referred to as the strip...Basically it's just walking the entire inside part of the mall that houses all of the stores. Our mall is not that big. First thing in the morning it is pretty dead and people can walk at their own pace..
She said she tried that 3 different times, but she likes so many of the stores that she can't keep from going in them and spending money instead of walking.
My thought was "Why doesn't she leave her purse at home and just take her drivers license with her.... But anyways...........

It reminded me of when Griz was here and we went to a store called Hobby Lobby and I jokingly handed him my purse as we walked in the store and told him I'm not allowed to have it in there. I usually don't even take my purse in there with me. I take X amount of money with me and that's that. I do the same thing at Home Depot and Lowe's. although I had said I would not shop at Lowe's again a while back

Do you have any of those stores... you know, the ones where you see so many things you like or could use.....or think you could find a use for because you like it... The ones where everything seems to be on sale and so you grab this little thing and that little thing and I might as well get that while it's that inexpensive and ......next thing you know you get to the register, ring it all up and are wondering what the heck just cost that much?!?

Or all you did was get the basic essentials and a few other.........umm, yea......
Those kind of places....
Which ones are your weakness?

There is a place here in town called "Sense and Nonsense" and they sell all kinds of cool stuff...it's kinda like The Shed. I could blow insane amounts of money in there. Victoria's Secret too...I could blow thousands in that store if I had the money.

Why don't she leave her purse at home, then go to the mall? Because she'll just become pissed for not bringing her purse when she see's something she really needed (not wanted) and never will she make THAT mistake again!

Our malls here actually open up early so people can go walking. Actually a few malls do that. So, when you go...all the stores are closed!!

My weakness.....Dollar Tree, Avenue, K-mart, Target.....lol

Here the mall also opens about an hour before the stores, so unless she is afraid of spending a fortune on the vending machines, she's be OK

I love those thrift stores. Everything from Goodwill on up (or down). The good thing is I can go nuts in one and it still doesn't cost too much. I think the most I've dropped in one is $25.

I do that walking thing at the Mall. There are several people dressed in jogging outfits that take it really seriously.
I don't have to worry about shopping ...ain't got no money anyways.
After I'm finished walking ...I have a coffee and people watch.

Wendy's, Arby's, Carl's Jr, ect.....I can't walk past any of those with out having to go inside and buy something. I'm not allowed in any Mcdonald's in the lower 48 or much of Canada because of that incedent with the twisty cone machine and the French Fry Vat. Stupid ducks anyway.
