There was a conference in France where a number of international engineers were taking part, including French and American. During a break, one of the French engineers came back into the room saying 'Have you heard the latest dumb stunt the United States has done?? They have sent an aircraft carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What do they intend to do, bomb them?'
A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: 'Our carriers have three hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 3,000 people three meals a day!
A flight deck larger then several football fields, (American or Soccer) to set up Field Mess Facilities ... we may only be able to boil MRE's, but every one will get a hot meal, Gar-on-teed!  (And being nuclear powered, we can boil a helluva lot of MRE's  ) A Hanger Deck that can shelter 10's of thousands for the night, a squad of fleet Marines standing watch for you while you sleep. You just can't get any more secure then that!  And I know, no matter what disaster you face tomorrow, facing it with a hot meal in your belly and a good nights sleep, just has to be a good thing.
And that's what I call some ol time relief, its just a lot of ol' time relief. 
Why do you think any time there is a Catastrophe, War, Natural or Man Made Disaster, the leaders of the world all ask ... "Where are the American Carriers" 
Not to mention we have already given France back to the French ... TWICE!  If you must condemn us, condemn us for that!
