Happy new year 2009
IMHO I think Hawaii rocks the new year better than anywhere else. We tend to get REALLY into the holidays here ... And if there is a reason for a party ... You know its gonna happen.
Fireworks lights up the Hawaiian skies with awesome aerials and the red fire crackers fill the streets with the red paper left behind. The after smoke fills the air thicker than LA's smog on its worst day.
And the food OMG! So much Ono gridz where one can kanak attack right after. From sushi to sashimi to poke to noodles to crab and oysters to just about everything you can think of to eat.
I didn't eat that much this year nor did in drink my usual new years amount ... So I was a good girl this year.
Comming home was something else too. If you think the smog in LA is bad comming home on the main roads was even worse where you can't see RIGHT in front of you even with fog lights or high lights on.
Its one of the most spectacular things to see that Hawaii has to offer that no where else come close to.
I've been to other places for new years but no where else seems spectacular as home.
Anyway just want to wish everyone a prosperous 2009. May you have good luck, good health and good fortune in the year of the earth ox.
