I work for me and work at home. I love the 40 foot commute to work and no dress code. I am my own boss and we get along marvelously! Sadly, my only lover for several years is me, but there is no drama. That being said and my sex life not involving women, I see no need to call my boss, I think that he knows.
Beyond my attempts to be funny, yet real, I respectfully think that this blog is a post for the sake of blogging and not worth much in value as dialogue.

I agree. Enough shoving down throats.
Not long ago, gays sued eharmony because they didnt have a gay section. Does this now mean that all gay dating sites will offer straight sections?
Give it a rest.
Gays need rights too, but they ARE moving forward getting them. Park the steamrollers. bois.

I'll have to think hard about this one.....I recently found the women side of me and found our she was a lesbian......
Went to disney world one year when my kids were 6 and 8...it was gay pride day...that evening had to sit them down and try to explain why men were kissing men and women hugging and kissing each other all day...

Though I am in favor of gays getting married, I don't know what they plan to acomplish with this day off thing. 
The illegal immigrant community does something similar for "a day without an illegal imimigrant" (1st of May) where they take the day off. The result was less traffic congestion, fast food cashiers understanding what customers are saying and getting their orders right, instructors don't have to slow down their lesson for children that don't understand english "too good", and no loud music blaring from the neighbors' houses. As long as you don't live in the cities where they do the protesting, life is just a bit more pleasant. 
What if we find out that life is more pleasant when the gay community doesn't show up to work? It may hurt their cause even further. Worst case scenario- my belt breaks tomorrow and I don't have someone to advise me on which belt goes best with my shoes.

Hell everyone at the company is just glad we still have jobs to go to. These symbolic protests really have no place in the workplace. Other avenues to express their discontent would be more appropriate.

well....hmmmm ....BB King is playing at his club tomorrow night, I work upstairs and all the VIP' ticket holders are having dinner before the show where I work. If all the kids call in gay tomorrow I will be the only one to take care of a couple of hundred people...except one guy...I guess he would show up, but he is pissed at me still for thinking he was gay like all the other guys I work with! Who knew...sorry...I just didn't have a clue?!

I don't blame gay people for being pissed off. Many of them got married when it was legal and now they have repealed the law. This is just a backlash of anger although I don't think it will be very effective. If two people love each other does it really matter what gender they are? They should have the same rights and responsibilities as straight couples.
