(11-22) 12:23 PST Moundsville, W.Va. (AP) -- A West Virginia mother faces charges after being accused of burning the word "wimp" into her 6-year-old daughter's neck. Tammy Smith is charged with five counts of child abuse and of malicious assault, all felonies. Moundsville Police Chief Jim Kudlak said Saturday that the child told police that her mother used a cigarette to burn her. Smith's daughter told authorities that her mother burned her because she was angered that the girl tripped and fell. An employee at the child's school noticed the burns and police were called Wednesday. The girl is in foster care. The 43-year-old Smith is being held in jail on $50,000 bond. Kudlak says he doesn't think she has an attorney yet. Moundsville is in northern West Virginia. The article is here. Wow....that just makes me SICK! 	People like that must not have a soul....I could never intentionally harm a hair on my child EVER. Reminds me of that movie An American Crime with Ellen Page where that sick fuck of a woman took a burned needle and put "prostitute" on her stomach....and it was a true story!!! Evil does actually live right here on earth.

What is sad, is that parents that have spanked a child where it left a small bruise have gotten stiffer bail amounts. I hope some group comes through with plastic surgery to remove those marks from that poor child...and her mother from her life!

	Is it just me, or aside from "Smart People", does Ellen Page always end up in films where fucked-up things always happen to her? That's a depressing career. Tarantino, Smith, or Anderson need to put her in a film.

	That is just horrible! Call me crazy, but, I always thought parents were supposed to guide, protect, nurture their children. Not brutalize them like that.
