Since Thanksgiving I started coughing a little early in the day, but later on in the day it stopped. It started up again full force Friday, and has never let up. I rarely get sick with anything, and I pride myself on that, but there is only one person that I usually catch things from, and that's my 26 year old cousin Jodie. She was in for Thanksgiving like the rest of my relatives, and I believe I caught something from her again. There was only 2 or 3 times where this has happened over the last few years. Back in 2001 I lost my voice for the first time with something from her when she was sick. I always make a point to stay away from her when she is sick, she's like a curse or something to me whenever she comes down with something. lol She didn't seem sick on Thanksgiving, so I asked her brother if she was sick recently and he told me that she started getting sick on Friday (like me), the day after Thansgiving. I used her cell phone that day to call Natasha's bf so that I could give him a message from her because my cell phone went out. So I'm thinking that I might have had a cold with a sore throat and gave it to my cousin by being around her, or she got it by me using her cell phone (which then I would owe her 2 more illnesses...lol j/k) , or I got it by being around her and/or using her cell phone. I ran out of Nyquil last night, took some the last two nights, so I just ran up to walmarts to pickup some more cherry Nyquil along with two 7lbs. bags of meow mix for the cats. Anyway, I have been hacking and coughing pretty much all day, and i'll tell ya, it's no fun going through this. What's kept me sane and my mind off being sick is being on here chatting it up with good friends while commenting on a lot of blogs today. Thanks everyone for another fun day!

hope you get to feeling better soon. and it seems like since you seem to be getting alot of suggestions I'll pass on a couple i use every time i get bronchitis or the lung plague. Hot green tea ( with honey added if you don't like the flavor of plain) helps the throat and seems to help in general feeling better. and if you get really congested, go take a long shower in the hottest water you can stand. the stream of water hitting ones back, along with breathing in the steam help to break up lung crap, and the steam helps make the lungs feel better

Thanks for all the warm wishes and advice guys. I just got up and I'm still coughing, but not as bad as yesterday. It's nearing the end of this whatever it is. The first day I had a headache, but after that it was just the coughing. There was no running nose or anything like that either. Go figure...

I've been a little under the weather myself lately. Same symptoms as you have described. I've resorted to taking mega doses of vit. C. It's a good thing you dont see cousing jodi often, seems like she's a walking reservoir. As for myself, I am around the sick constantly. No particular one to point the finger at and not a single ass that I can kick. Damn!
