I am a terrible insomniac..Have been for many years. And when I do sleep, I hear every noise there is. If I am sleeping with someone and they move or get up, I am instantly wide awake. I have never been able to sleep face to face with someone. I usually lay on my side and we spoon or I snuggle up next to his back..But while Griz and I were up in Northern Mn I fell asleep one night with my head on his chest and didn't wake up until about an hour later as he was sitting in the chair beside the bed watching tv. ( We were watching tv when I fell asleep, which I never do) When he came back to bed I snuggled close and went right back to sleep..until the next morning when I woke to the smell of coffee and him already up, showered and sitting there watching me sleep..Eerie feeling knowing someone was watching me sleep.. Hmm, did I drool, did I snore..did I talk??
I slept through him moving with me laying on his chest, getting out of bed, the sound of the tv, in the morning moving around the hotel room and taking a shower on the other side of the wall, making coffee and the sound of the tv again... He said he let me sleep because he knew I was tired and he just liked watching me be that peaceful. Then he came back to bed....
It amazes me, but I've now discovered that I love to go to sleep with my head on his chest or face to face snuggled up against his chest. ..mmm
How do you sleep? Are you a sound or light sleeper? Does it make a difference if you are alone in the bed or with someone else?
When you are sleeping with someone else, do you have a favorite position you usually sleep in? Face to face, spooning, legs all entwined in each others, back to back, on your stomach or back....or...????
Do you tend to sleep more on your own side of the bed, in the middle or on his/her side with them?
Do you share your pillows or keep them all to yourself?
Do you snore? If so, is it s light hypnotizing sound or could you wake the dead?

Lyrics to the song that Beefy posted..
The Nurse..by The White Stripes..
The Nurse should not be the one who Puts salt in your wounds But it's always with trust that the posion Is fed with a spoon When you're helpless with no one to turn to Alone in your room
You would swear That the one who would care for you NEVER WOULD leave She promised and said 'you will always be safe here with me' But promises open a door to be broken to me
No, I'm Never, No, I'm Never, No, I'm never Gonna let you down now No, I'm Never, No, I'm Never, No, I'm never Gonna let you down No, I'm Never, No, I'm Never, No, I'm never Gonna let you down now No, I'm Never, No, I'm Never, No, I'm never Gonna let you down
The maid that you've hired Could never conspire to kill She's to mother Not quietly smother you When you're most ill The one that you're trusting Suspisciously dusting the sill
No, I'm Never, No, I'm Never, No, I'm never Gonna let you down now No, I'm Never, No, I'm Never, No, I'm never Gonna let you down No, I'm Never, No, I'm Never, No, I'm never Gonna let you down now No, I'm Never, No, I'm Never, No, I'm never Gonna let you down So Beefy, what exactly is your point? Were you trying to take what Bunny said and make it tainted, Or do you just have trust issues? I can be extremely synical when it comes to trusting, but it can happen. And it can be for real.

wow, I have that same problem of not being able to sleep. I've bought a tempur pedic matress, got anair purifier, a fan, a heater, quality sheets and a radio playing either smooth jazz or classical music; and all this time, I only needed a man's chest to sleep on?!?

Sleep? Oh, yeah...I sleep...in little bits. My problem isn't falling asleep. I just can't seem to STAY asleep. Occasionally I'll go through spells where I actually do get quality sleep. Unfortunately, for me, a fantastic night of sleep is a mere 5-6 hours at one time. I have tried melatonin, OTC sleeping pills, Rx sleeping pills...to no avail. Thank gawd I am not working 3 shift any more...I really didn't sleep much then!
Hmmm, I wonder if there is a chest I can sleep on anywhere....
I'm a pretty light sleeper. Guess that comes from years of being mom and having an ex-hub that was deaf. I was the only one that heard any noise in the house at night. I don't really sleep well with anyone else...too many years of sleeping alone I guess. When I do, I'm usually facing them but that is the direction I normally face when I sleep alone too. Spooning, or some sort of touching is mandatory...I sleep on 'my' side but very close to the middle, alone or with someone. My pillow is my pillow...but I might encroach on his. LOL And, I am told, I do not snore...but I do make some funny little noises when I first fall asleep.

From the feels of my spine most mornings... I must sleep in a pretzel.. or some sort of wad. But since I sleep HOT.. I keep to my own side of the bed so that I can hang my feet out of the blankets without disturbing my partner.
I love to cuddle.. but sleeping involves much sweating.
I sleep for about 2 hours at a time.. sometimes a few more.. but usually can fall back asleep without much effort... mostly only 6 hours at any stretch though... i mean.. added all together. Too many years of up with the sun to do the chores or take care of the kids.
snore? well yeah.. depends on how stuffed up my head is that day how loud it gets.. but I also have a mild form of apnea and gasp for air now and then which can really disconcert my sleeping partner.

I snore, I drool, I sometimes talk. I haven't slept in a bed with my man is over 3 years. I sleep with my dog, he and I spoon. I'm usually cuddled up holding him.
I used to wake up at every noise or whenever someone moved. My ex hated that....felt like I was spying on him. Not my fault.....

How do you sleep? Are you a sound or light sleeper? Varies on whether I ate before I went to sleep...blood sugar thing. In general,I sleep heavy.
Does it make a difference if you are alone in the bed or with someone else? Not really, except when it gets hot because you're generating so much heat from cuddling.
When you are sleeping with someone else, do you have a favorite position you usually sleep in? Face to face, spooning, legs all entwined in each others, back to back, on your stomach or back....or...???? Spooning also, his front to my back, but when it gets hot, back to back.
Do you tend to sleep more on your own side of the bed, in the middle or on his/her side with them? Mine. I need my space, usually.
Do you share your pillows or keep them all to yourself? Depends on the guy;they're usually nice enough to give me most of theirs and they use one.
Do you snore? If so, is it s light hypnotizing sound or could you wake the dead? I'm told I do that, and its pretty loud. I also talk in my sleep and drool... I don't kick or flail, thats good news because I've been with those who do.

DOES HE REALY GIT TO TOUCH YER PILLOW????
aintcha worried he'll make it hot??? He's been known to do that.... He is like sleeping with an inferno sometimes. But he doesn't take the blankets when I'm cold.....he actually throws them all on me, then I can't breathe..lol And we won't even discuss the first time he was on my pillows...OhMyGosh!! Ask hm about it sometime. Yes, he's aloud to "touch" them... But I'm the only one that gets to sleep on them.....
My ex hated that....felt like I was spying on him. Guilty conscious?
I only needed a man's chest to sleep on?!? Well not just any man...other that that, umm, I'm just leaving that alone..........
I do miss sleeping with you And I miss everything about being with you...Six weeks from now sure seems like a long time away.. You slept on my pillow? hmm, I'm going to have to think about that one...
Thank you, Z. And he is..
