One day. Those words so cliché but so true linger in the heads of those with hope. The tired, hungry, discouraged and alone. One day, things will be better. One day, things will get easier. One day. At times it brings a strength and renewal of energy. Other times, in the darkest and loneliest of valleys, they only menace and prick our souls, causing the one who believed to doubt the very reason for their faith. One day seems close and far. One day feels right and comforting but confusing and wrong. If only one day were today. If only one day were more definite. If only one day… Damn, maybe one day won’t come. But it will come. It must come. For we are the ones with power to prevent or create that one day. We control the future by what we think and say today. Yes, we create that one day with our very existence and being. If God created the world by spoken words alone and we are made in His image, how much could we too create with our words. At first look, its doubtful. Create a universe with our minds? You speak hurt and sadness to someone, does it not create scars in their soul? The child who develops under a verbal blanket of evil becomes therefore evil in his mind, creating chaos, sadness and death in his wake. Did not the beings around him, create that destruction by the words and thoughts in their minds? You speak kindness and uplifting encouragement, does it not create in them the strength to continue on and eventually change the world? We say, ‘who would have known?’ But we did know. We just did not think. And so are we in our very own lives… We must believe, speak and live our desires and goals, for one day, the product of our creations will come to live before our very eyes, surpassing the wildest dreams, thoughts and imaginations. One day, it WILL be easier. One day things WILL get better. One day WILL come. It will…
