I am glad that worked. I have never locked myself out of the house. I have a dead bolt and you have to use a key to lock the door when you leave. Now locking my keys in my car is another matter all together.

LOL...I'm sure I was a site to see. Picture a window about 7 feet off the ground. Me climbing on top of my van. Me climbing clumsily in the window. I have white siding powder all down the side of my pants and coat. I put my leg through the window and it gets caught. Then my head gets caught. Then my hair gets caught. I stay that way for about a minute trying to wiggle myself loose and almost start to panic. Somehow I wiggle my ass loose and manage not to break any bones or any furniture. My cat was staring at me the whole time like, "mommy what are you doing?" It only took me about 10 minutes!!

I, like Wow, have a deadbolt and have never managed to lock myself out of the house.........but my daughter locked the keys in my jimmy last night...... Thank God for AAA........is all i can say.......

The winter Wayne died I went out the door and forgot my keys and it was blizzard conditions! NP...extra key in the garage. Yeah I couldn't find it....it wasn't in the cup where it was suppose to be.
With all the stress, I panicked and headed for the neighbors who was my landlord and they had a key...and I was bawling my head off and looked like a walking snowman by the time I got there. No one answered the door so I went to the next neighbor with tears streaming down my face.
As she was calling her son to help, I saw the landlord come home so back I went for the key.
The next summer I was cleaning the cupboard in the garage and right in front of my nose hanging on a spray bottle hung the key. If it'd have been a snake it would have bit me!

A rock hide-a-key works wonders!!!
My mother always made me make extras of my house and car......I got keys stashed EVERYWHERE!!
I, like Bruce....am notorious for locking myself outta my car....

but I will drop a letter.....L Ah.......but I said that I never locked myself out of the house........i didnt say that my granddaughter hadn't....... besides it was just the chain and she opened it right away.........

Happened once when I was a kid,and basically I had to pull a MacGuyver to get into the house. Good thing no one told on me,since I was the most reclusive member of my family and thought my mom only had 2 daughters,lol Good thing no one called the law on me for that.

I have what they call.... no panic doorknobs. Which means, when in the locked position it won't turn from the outside, but from the inside it opens normally. Keeps you from getting locked in during a fire or something.
The first month or two you own them, you tend to get locked outside quite frequently. Fortunately, I have a key hidden outside so it hasnt' been a traumatic issue.
If you need some bengay rubbed on those bruises..... I'm available.

I hate it when that happens!!!
I'm way to trusting.. I Never lock up my Trucks..and only when I will be gone all day do I lock my house!

I agree with Looking...we need pictures!
Also...that is why I carry my cell phone and my Dad has a key to my house. (His work is only 3 or 5 minutes away from my house.  )
And believe me...I ALWAYS make sure I at least walk out with my cell phone!

Thanks for the comments everybody. I'm too lazy today to thank everyone individually  I am very sore today from my breaking and entering event yesterday morning
