The value of a true education can never be undervalued. Some people you just can't talk to intelligently. They don't have a worldwide view, but a backyard on my porch view.

Well perhaps instead of talking down to people you should talk to them. Having an education doesn't make you more intelligent than anyone else, other than possibly in the field of your education. Personally, I would rather talk to someone who admits that they don't know everything, than someone who thinks they do. JMO

I never talk down to anyone unless it was warranted. There is always someone that knows something I don't. Though, if it's not going to make me a better person, I could care less what you know. If it's not going to put money in my pocket, again I could care less what you know. If it's not going to help the better of society, again I could care less what you know.
Sincerely, Bchill

So YOU decide what's warranted or not now? And learning something new doesn't make you a better person? You not only sound arrogant but not nearly as educated as you think you are.

I agree with Ewe and rnj....who are you to decide what's warranted or intelligent?
If it doesn't benefit you in some way, then it's not worth knowing? Get over it!!

I guess yall missed the part I wrote about the better of society. You don't include yourself in the better of society. See that's what I mean. Education is very important. lol

Intelligence can come off as arrogance to the uneducated. I'm sorry, but it's true.

so you learning something new doesn't help to better society? I guess YOU aren't part of that society? Intelligence....true intelligence will not come off as arrogance but I wouldn't expect someone who obviously isn't all that educated to know that. Best of luck to ya!
