Most of us were in some way or another taught to make wishes while growing up...
Either by throwing a coin in a wishing fountain and making a wish...
Closing our eyes and wishing on the first star of the night... or a falling star...
Making a wish and blowing out the candles on a birthday cake...
Or even breaking a turkey wishbone with someone and the one with the biggest part would get their wish come true...
But you were never supposed to tell anyone what your wish was..
Funny story... Thanksgiving of last year my best friend and I broke a wishbone together.. As we stood in my kitchen both holding on we both thought really hard about what we wanted to wish for... Silly as it may seem. Two adults playing a silly wishing game and putting so much careful thought into it.
We both finally closed our eyes made our silent wish and snap went the wishbone...Exactly in half !! Neither of us have ever seen that happen and we started to laugh as I said, "well does this mean that neither of us get our wish or both of us do?"... And we laughed some more.
After some time passed we both admitted to the other that our wish had come true... and each of us had wished something for someone else.
Weird, but completely true.. Sometimes wishes really do come true. 
So, let's play a silly childhood game, close your eyes and make a wish...... Actually two. But this time it's okay to tell......

My wish isd the same I have always had as long a I can remember...My Mom is the most loving person I have ever known...I want to do something very specil for her. It will happen soon. I have worked and save for a long time. I will tell you when it happens...and dreams and wishes do and will come true! Hope yours do too  !

My first wish would be that little Alex { Shawns grandson } make a complete and full recovery. And that he can live a good and healthy life.
My second wish for myself would be; That my first wish comes true.

I wish.....for the distance apart to seem short....the time together to seem long...and my thoughts to be felt in her heart and held on to for as long as she can hold them.....as I will do with hers.
