Fifty-one years ago, Herman James, a North Carolina mountain man, was drafted by the Army.
On his first day in basic training, the Army issued him a comb.
That afternoon the Army barber sheared off all his hair.
On his second day, the Army issued Herman a toothbrush.
That afternoon the Army dentist yanked seven of his teeth.
On the third day, the Army issued him a jock strap.
The Army has been looking for Herman for 51 years.

i didn't get the joke. why would they be looking for him for 51 years
after they issued him a jock strap? did he desert? they oughta
go back to the draft. with no college deferments or medical deferements.
no deferments for anything. bring back the universal military training
act of 1947. just reinstitute it. world militaries unite, defend earth, and
the milky way galaxy. buzz lightyear of starfleet command. it wasn't
in my era, but i saw it a few times on tv. its an animated cartoon show. lol
