Hey, did anyone catch Saturday Night Live last night with Sarah Palin? I thought that she did a good job, and didn't hurt but actually helped herself last night. Watched the opening which was great, but the show got pretty lame after that with their same old tiring skits. I also heard that last night's show was the best their ratings saw in 14 years. What did you think of last night's show?

Missed it,but thats what hulu.com is for. I did catch the clip of Weekend Update,it was pretty funny...I guess that's the one you're talking about? The rapping Eskimos killed me I will admit she has charisma, but that doesn't mean I like her.

No, I wasn't referring to that part. It was the actual opening of the show that I was referring to. The weekend update part I only caught the last part of.

She's more than qualified to be vice president (she's running for vice presdient, not president). She's even more qualified than Obama (and he's running for president) is in the executive field which both the vice presidency and presidency is part of. This blog is about her appearance on SNL.

How is she more qualified than Obama?

She ran a incredibly small town, abused her power and toyed with the idea of book burning. I guess if your a republican you see these as qualifications for president...

Mcain is a very old and rather sick old man. There is a rather good chance of him being hospitalized repeatedly if not dying within the next eight years. When the president is to ill to do his duties...well thats what a vp is for. So...yeah.

On another note Powell disagrees with you and you respect him right?

I just told you she is in my last comment, Beefy. She was also governor for two years (executive experience right there). Obama has been in the U.S. Senate for two years with no executive experience whatsoever. McCain may have some age on him, and I'm sure he'll be alright. As for McCain's health, he's pretty healthy. Look at his health records.

I don't respect his opinion whatsoever. That's all I'll say other than I doubt that his endorsement will have any impact on this election. Did you ever respect Powell before this endorsement? Just curious...

Powell warned Bush about the consequences of multiple wars at the same time, and disagreed on several...choices that were made as to the plan... Short answer is yes. I kinda respect the man...kinda. That thing with the anthrax before congress...that was bad. But then he admits it wasn't his most shining moment.

Whats your problem with him?

On another note, you should realy do some less biased research on both Obama and Palin...

Mcain has had very agressive skin cancer, with a large chance of reacurance within the next few years. He didn't disclose his full medical record either (exept to a few journalist, with only one doctor amougnst them... and gave them a limited amount of time to read them). Do some research... with other sources than Fox and Newsmax

He's not as healthy as you might imagine. He does however have a good ticker... so that rules out heart attack (unlike clinton, who could drop at any minute...but then he was healthier while in office. Guys realy let himself go).

Oh and before you say "what about obamas health record"...well you probably like his running mate more than you do him anyway, right?

Sorry make that three doctor reporters this last round (still not allowing photo copies, or even the journalist to write what they were reading- while reading it. So they had to memorize what they could...records for the year 1999 were not made availible).

Don't tell me he's as healthy as a horse.

I agree with you. Boring and unfunny as hell. I blew it off after about 35 minutes.

I just saw the funniest thing! I no more than say there aren't any yard signs and when I went to the store a while ago, I saw that they had popped up all over the neighborhood. Most of them are concerning the local wet/dry election. But there was this McCain/Palin sign, blue with white lettering in this one yard. It was kind of bent back as Iguess the wind had gotten to it. The people put it under a tree and it was ornamented with bird shit.

I don't recall stating that I had a problem with Powell other than his endorsement for Obama which I don't agree with or respect.

Mcain has had very agressive skin cancer, with a large chance of reacurance within the next few years.

Any kind of cancer is nothing to laugh at, but I think McCain will be just fine.

I agree with the Columbus Dispatch's with this statement: McCain, whose experience, service and sacrifice for his country make him more qualified to lead the nation. Obama's 8 years in the Illinois Legislature and less than 4 in the U.S. Senate - do not stand comparison with McCain's. This paper is also known to lean a little towards the left over the years.
