I had antother revolation on Sunday. This was about having kids. Another lady I chated with said I was too old...........not. If I meet the right person I do not think age has anything to do with it at at all. I don't have any YET but that does not mean I wouldn't be able to handle it.

You know...I've tossed around this idea. My ex husband was a little older than you. We tried to have kids along the way and were unsuccessful on his part. My thinking was that if we'd not had children by the time he was 45 that was the cut off.

(Just my opinion) But I didn't think it would be fair to the child(ren) to have an older parent. Not that he would have loved a child any less, but as his health declined the child would still be rather young. See where I'm going? Like I said, just my opinion here, but once I hit say 38, I will probably not even entertain the idea anymore.

i actully agree with Daized.....it's not about being physicaly able...hell men can have kids into 50s and i THINK some even do in 60s BUT for ME.......i'd not consider it due to the child....at 15yrs old....to have a dad whos the age of others grandparents? just how i see it........not the end all be all for sure

While it can be an issue for some, it's really about what you and your S/O feel is right. Kids are a joy and there is nothing like the bond between you and your children. I say go for it, when you find the right woman!

Well not that my two cents mean anything, but..................my father was 48 when I was born, unfortunately he died when I was fourteen years old so yes our time was short, but I would not have changed my dad for anything in the world. He was the absoulute BEST!! My husband was 33 when our daughter was born and died when she was 6, so there is no telling how long someone will be around for. So who really is to say what age is to old. Your as young as you feel. We should remember things happen for the worst with young people as well as older people

I see nothing wrong with you having kids at your age. you'll still be pretty active by the time they graduate high school, it's not like they'll have to worry about putting you in a nursing home right out of high school. If you want kids, i say go for it and wish you the best of luck

For one, you're not that old. you're only 2 years older than I am. Over the last few years I have had some of my friends joke with me saying that by the time I have kids and about ready to graduate from high school I'll be in a rocking chair. lol I can't see myself being in a rocking chair for one thing when I hit way up there in age. But I see nothing wrong with guys wanting to start families while in their 40's.

I always told myself that if i didn't have kids (biological) by the time i was 30 it just wasn't meant to be. I decided a while back that i still want to have a baby, and lucky for me my S/O, who is 42, also wants children. Age is a number, doesn't mean squat as far as i'm concerned. It's how you feel, and how you act.
