The Roaring Silence

In the past there was closure. The famous "Dear John" letter in WW II comes to mind. These days, the courtesy of explanation is no longer extended. Relationships terminate and the person dumped is left to ponder why. In bygone days there would be an explanation or at least a rant to explain the demise. Later, it may have been a voice mail. Now, it is just the end followed by the roaring silence. How do you feel about this? Is it closure, or just an easy way out?

I have seen a major change in this. In the past, the dumped person at least got some form or explanation as opposed to what was easy for the other party.

I've never had the "honor" of being dumped. This isn't a bragging rite on my part,I just never been in a genuine long-term relationship before....don't ask me why that is.

Depends on the 'relationship' sometimes there's just nothing more to say... but yeah it's an easy way out.

Its the easy way out!!!
yeah.. it happens! Most ppl dont take relationships "To heart" (its from the heart.. but.. dont tell noone!!! )
My 2 cents

guilty as charged... I think sometimes it is kinder to deafen the world with silence than to spill bile out on the road....

I don't believe that there actually is "closure"... I hate that term! Anyway, if you do get an explaination, it may not be the one that you want, which raises more questions, or it may be all lies. They still don't want to hurt anyone, but getting questioned about it all the time until you get the "explaination" that you are happy with, just pisses people off. So then things get said in anger, and you're worse off than when you started. So.. roaring silence? Let it stay quiet. Just my opinion!

I think it's an easy way out thing. It sucks ass.....but it happens.
