You waited too late. Can you re-post this tomorrow? It's my bedtime and I really need the sleep.

Oh, and I would get rid of interleague play. It cheapens the World Series.
I forgot to write in my blog that I would move Milwaukee back to the American League where they belong!

You can take away our Cleveland-Cinci games when you pry them from our cold, dead fingers.

Btw, We traded Griffey to the Chicago White Sox today. Hopefully my Reds will be a better team now!!! Nah...Basically, we got a bucket of balls and a couple of rosin bags for him, and there's TEN YEARS' deferred salary to pay him!! I'm afraid the Reds won't be able to afford more than second class talent for a long, LONG time...

Chicago pretty much helped us out regardless of what we got for him. He was going to walk after this year anyway and had $16.5 million waiting for him next year if we picked up the option for him. Instead we had a $4 million buyout for next year on him. Chicago will be paying half of his salary this year and spliting the buyout with us with $2 million each. Griffey's time came, and even though I love to see him go, I wish the guy luck. He wasn't the kind of player we all expected. He honestly loafed too much and had a huge ego. And that slitting across the throat he did to Brantley was in poor taste. He was too immature as a player and in the locker room.

Can't argue too strenuously against any of your points....I was more disappointed with all the recurring injuries; I'm surprised the guy can still walk! He WAS an EXTREMELY tempremental player, though, not much of a leader, and a bit of a showboat after each home run, too!

and a bit of a showboat after each home run, too! It drives me nuts when any player just stands there and admires what may appear to be a homerun, especially when it's off the wall! lol

from www.700wlw.com:
GRIFFEY SAYS THANKS Saturday, August 2, 2008
Ken Griffey Jr. issued the following statement on Saturday:
I would like to thank the Cincinnati Reds organization for allowing me to fulfill a lifelong dream of playing for my hometown team. I will always value the lasting relationships I have the the Lindner, Castellini and Williams families.
While my nine seasons there were filled with personal highlights-like hitting by 400th, 500 and 600th home runs in a Reds uniform-and the negatives of having to fight through too many injuries, my biggest regret is that we were not ablt to win a world championship while I was there.
I also would like to thank my many teammates, managers, coaches and Reds employees for their help and support and to acknowledge the many friendly relationships i had with most of the members of the local media. I will miss the banter.
Last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank Reds fans for their support. I really to understand the overwhelming majority of fans wanted so badly for me to succeed.
Additionally, I would like to sincerely apologize to those fans offended by my wrongful actions last Saturday night, It was an overreaction on my part to what I felt was a series of public inaccurate and unfair remarks about me.
I wish nothing but success for the Reds both on the off the field.
Sincerely,
Ken Griffey, Jr.

Yeah, I read that in the Cincinnati Enquirer. I thought that Griffey showed some class by writing it.
