When i wake in the mornings i find my body restlessly seeking Yours. my foot stretches out to slide along Your calf and wrap about Your ankle. Through the warm haze of dissolving sleep my hand will reach for any part of You; an arm to caress, a shoulder to stroke, a back to rub. It is the realization that You are not there that finally, rudely, rouses me from slumber.
If i can just survive this minute of gnawing loneliness, then the one that follows, and the one that follows that, i will get through the day without You, as well as the one that follows, one minute at a time until You are back here with me.
