i am not speaking of a post on the same subject, I mean the EXACT same post word for word. Yesterday somebody posted a blog via copy/paste that somebody else had posted about a day and a half earlier. Usually you see this with jokes.
I have noticed when that I see these reruns appear, I also see them being forwarded to me in my private email in a mass mailing. I recall posting a funny joke on here that came to me in a mass email from a friend (yes, she does write me individual emails also). Within in a month, three other people posted the same joke and one of those posts was on the same that day I posted it.
Bearing this in mind, if people get a mass email and find something inspiring, funny, or enlightening in it, it is very likely that several other people on here got it in their email also. Subsequently, there is a good chance it has already been posted.
When this happens, the second poster looks like an idiot. It happened to me this spring. I was out of town for over a week. I checked in here and read the most recent blogs. I had also encountered a good joke in my private email. I posted it as a blog. Well, someone else had posted that joke four days earlier.
It was embarrassing, because I am not the only one that finds reruns irrating.
I am on here daily, but if I am not and I am wanting to post something, I will send it to someone on here regularly and ask them, "Have you seen this?"
The moral of the story is that you are going post something via copy/paste that is being relayed from your private email, look before you leap.

I guess for me Bruce, I dont see it as a big issue...........if its already been blogged and someone else blogs it...........i just skip over it.........especially if it was blogged weeks ago.........than i figure there are new people here who probably havent read it.............so what the hell...........life is too short..........read the jokes again bruce...........you can laugh twice..........

Skip it or read it again and get a tickle of a laugh again.... 
The funny thing though is I only had that in my regular mail just once first time I ever read it..

July 3rd I posted a funny blog...it was just reposted a day or so ago by someone else...copy 'n pasted. Who knows why it was reposted? Does it make any difference? Shit happens.
About 8 yrs. ago when I first got my computer, I made up an album of funny stuff.
I just rediscovered that album and from time to time I'll post some of it..some will not be knew to all people here.
I say...so what  ...what irritates some, delights others. I simply cannot wrap my brain around why blog subjects so provoke some to post blogs about others blogs. 
Ya wanna hear something funny? My blog that had been reposted had more comments than mine did originally. You commented on hers but not mine...didn't you read mine? Why didn't you comment on mine Bruce? I could get in a snit with hurt feelings over that but guess what..? I won't. Why? It simply does not matter!!!
Long sigh here.........and I still love ya hun whether ya like my blogs or not.

Oh yeah, and pointing out that someone looks like an idiot for reposting isn't very nice...they only appear to look that way if someone points it out, and there is no reason to do so...this isn't The Wallstreet Journal...!

I noticed when I was on here briefly yesterday that the women who posted what "TheMama" had posted the day before usually seems to post blogs and usually never reads what others post on here most of the time and rarely comments herself. Yeah, that kinda bugs me seeing people reposting what someone did very recently, especially when they seem to never take the time to read any other posts people post and they expect for everyone else to post comments on their blogs.

I love to blog. I have a family and a job. I rather post original experiences, but sometimes I get an e-mail I have to share. But, I'm so busy I haven't gotten to sit there and read pages of blogs I've missed because I'm busy with a real life. So, I post it and it's a rerun. Pass it by. There's always someone else out there that hasn't seen it. I'm guilty. I can't stay atop of EVERY blog and I don't have the time so sit and research EVERY topic either.
