I met up with a friend at Panera this morning. She showed me a copy of Charleston's The Post and Courier. There's a video on their web page. Maybe I was arrested for the same thing... Anyway, I recorded and filed the copyright for a song today. I gave credit to my partner in crime for many years for the riff. It's a common chord progression interrupted by the tonic. The song's "North Charleston."

And, I think I'm just going to shut the fuck up for the night, because I have to get up early for work tomorrow. Peace to all you perv's out there...

All I know is simple chord progressions,but some friends are teaching me "tricks" to make those "simple" progressions sound better.
I'm trying the: ii V I as an intro to a new song I'm writing (Devil in Disguise)

I've never come to terms with the ii-V-I, but "Autumn Leaves" is a good example.

Dude its easy to work with the ii V I,if you progress it in 6ths or even 9ths.
