How did you feel when you saw the statue of Liberty for the first time?
I said "OMG, there she is....I will be forever changed. I was moved, so deeply moved...
But for now....Im going back to Big Flirts bar

I seen her from a boat and man she was one big woman...lol...They had her fenced off, it was after 9/11 but the sight of her made me proud to be in the Greatest Country there is....

ha ha ha the greatest symbol of our country... made and given to us by France.. And most people trashed France because they would not fall for the lies from Bush and Co.

It was many years ago and NYC was in the midst of a garbage strike. I was unprepared for her green appearance and a bit of aghast. Everything in NYC surprised me at how dirty it appeared including her.

I was born in NYC and worked there so I saw her quite often...don't really remember the first time I saw her tho

One really cool thing about NYC, and a few other places, is that when you go there, you get to see all of these things in person that you have seen on TV and in the movies. That is kind of cool.
Being a Cali guy, I was also struck by how ethnic the people are. In Cali we had white people. In NYC people are Italians, Puerto Ricans, Russians, Jews, Irish, Greek, Chinese, etc. I know it sounds tacky, but I also recall noticing how much shorter people were and that a lot of them were ugly.

I was thinking that's quite a toga to hide all that underarm hair,she is French afterall.Also cool how they got her to walk around NYC in Ghostbusters 2! J/k,I've never saw the Statue of Liberty before.
