	They are closing around 600 of them. If I am going to spend dour bucks on something to drink, it had better have liquor in it!

	I am not a fan of Star Buck's..But what is sad is more people losing jobs..No matter what the pay is they had some kind of income coming in...

	They had too many of them to begin with, some cities had one every other block. In Manhattan, you could not go 2 blocks without a Starbucks on the corner. Plus all the other coffee shops, it was over saturated with java houses. Sorry they are closing so many, but they seemed to overbuild when they got greedy. I prefer Caribou anyway, decaf turtle mocha is my weekly treat!

	I prefer Caribou anyway, decaf turtle mocha is my weekly treat! I like Caribou coffee a lot better than Star Bucks or any other coffee place. I like the Turtle Mocha(hot) not cold..But I have a hard time spending that much on a cup of coffee. We don't have a Caribu around here.

	I drink coffee for the caffeine, not the taste, so paying $3.00 or $4.00 for a cup ain't my cup of tea, so to speak. However, don't count out Starbucks yet. The latest issue of Wired magazine has an article on them, so to speak. The focus of the article is an $11,000 coffee maker called the Clover, made by Coffee Equipment Company. This machine allows the user to select the amount of coffee, water temp, and brew time. Apparently, changing these variables slightly makes a huge difference in the flavor of the coffee. There's about 250 Clovers in independent coffee shops around the world. Fans of the machine swear it makes the best.coffee.ever. Starbucks bought CEC earlier this year. They will stop selling the Clover to the independent shops and gradually roll it out to Starbucks all over the country. The article also talks about how Starbucks founder has taken back control of the company and will return their focus to their core competency. The article isn't available on the wired site yet, but there are videos of the Clover on youtube. I'm almost tempted to buy some Starbucks stock. Or not.
